The only way to hack is to use some software but that is effectively patched and Pawn already has a strong encryption.

They hack it because they can. I'm a former hacker, and I must say, it was fun while it lasted, but the legal trouble is not worth it. Getting sued...not so great.

Most use a program called WPE pro, which is not really "haxxing software". None of these programs used for exploiting games directly target multiplayer. WPE just so happened to be capable of logging packets and injecting .dlls, so it was used by me, ex5oq, SHTF, TTP, etcetera, all to conveniently exploit the game. Now just remember, it's not easy to do. But there are such tutorials out now (most created by Ex5) on how to hack it and it's just becoming too easy now. Pawn has no sort of encryption at all, on the contrary. What it has is obfuscation. It's sort of like SWF encryption, except it's a different type. Otherwise, there are no patches for hackers to break through. There are just security precautions. Such as when someone creates a hacked arena or a hacked chat room, their account is automatically permanently banned. It's not that it's encrypted or it has "hack-patches", it's just that it takes safety measures.

There's a long twisted road down the hacking life, and I could go into further detail, but I'm afraid that if I reveal too much, my own presence may be in jeopardy.
