*SPOILER WARNING*

So I just watched spider-man 3 yesterday and I thought it would be better. I felt that Venom was an extra as a villian and that sandman just was a villian for the first half.

Although I like the twists and turns in this movie. Peter turning emo and losing his temper, how Uncle Ben REALLY died, etc.

Overall I give the movie a 9/10.

Rate and discuss.

Did you watch the movie  It wasn't the guy from Spider-man one who robbed the wrestler manager, it was part sandman, part robber. Sandman was worried about his daughter so he planned a robbery with his friend. When he wanted a car he took Uncle Ben's car and said he needed it. Uncle Ben tried to help him and sandman understood. Then his friends pushed him which caused him to pull the trigger.

*There are substantially more spoilers in this post than in the previous ones.*

Yeah... I thought they took way too much time with Spiderman in the black suit. I'm assuming that stuff was in the comics or something (I never actually read them) but to have all that stuff in the movie was kind of pointless. Seems like it would have moved a lot faster and there would have been more action if the thing would have just gotten on that reporter guy first. Or they could have at least cut down on the amount of time that Peter was dancing in the streets and doing practically nothing.

I'm guessing that's not how it happened in the comics, but there's no reason to be completely accurate when making the movie if it would make it less entertaining. At least it was less entertaining for me.

Oh, and I really have no idea why Sandman was in it at all. He seemed pointless. And that alliance between Spiderman and Goblin Jr. (or whatever he was called) was corny, cliche, and stupid.

Anyway, I did love the movie despite that stuff, just think it could have been better.

Sand man played a semi-important role. It shows who actually killed Uncle Ben. I felt that he wasn't a villian but just trying to get money for his daughter so he had to kill some people, which is kinda weird...

The only villian I see is Venom. He was only there for like what....30 min. of evil?

Also remember that one scene when Venom and Sandman were talking about killing Spider-man? Sand man confronts Spider-man and tells the truth about Uncle Ben's death, then disappears into sand and flys off. What happened to hte "Hey, I hate spider-man, lets kill him!"

I knew it wouldn't be as good, but hell, it's better than the last 2 IMO.

I was going to make a topic on this. Anyways, that movie wasn't good at all. That movie claimed to be the most paid filmed movie ever All the 30mill went to effects. And peter emo doesn't fit him. The whole movie is messed up,lol. I wanted a different story, same villians. The only good scenes were the fighting scenes

You're right live, the only part of the movie where they put a huge amount of effort was the fight scenes, and I feel like they put too much of that into it. The movie was all style and no substance. Also, they need to stop making MJ a damsel in distress. It was bad enough doing it again in the second movie, but using it in the third just shows they're running out of ideas.
Overall, they tried doing too much. Perhaps If they focused on one villain only it would have been better.

On another note, does this mean there's a rule that comic book movies can only be good up to the first two films?

Olliva, i agree, the dancing in the streets crap was long. i went to the bathroom like twice during that and made it back in time. I was wondering where venom was gonna come in. and he was there for like 10 min. And harry doesnt die in the comics, yet he almost dies 2wice and then really dies at the end, the same way his dad does. i would give it a 4/5. 1 thumb up and the other thumb in my mouth.

Harry does die, but not the way he died in the movies. He dies of poisoning.
