Vista Or XP

Is vista good for pawngame and other stuff? cuz the computer I'm getting brings vista. If its not then I'm gona try installing xp on to the desktop

Don't nock it till you try it, please. People can say Vista sucks all day, but from what I hear some people like it more than xp. Eventually, all the software and hardware will work with vista, all the glitches will be fixed, and then people will change to vista. This happens every single time Windows makes a new operating system.

You may not have everything you want right now with Vista, but don't bother trying to put XP on the system, when you'll turn around in a few months and put Vista on it...

Plus, Microsoft made the computers that start off with Vista, pretty backwards incompatible.

Yea that's what I'm going to do, I'm going to try out vista and see how it is, if I don't like it I will then install xp pro and wait till they make a lot of software for vista which is In about a year and I will put it back but a higher os.

Vista computers have the New Intel Core 2 Duo and 2gb of ram. Mines I upgraded to 4gb.

However the flaw is that Vista is unpatched and I've been getting bugs, driver failures, etc...

Especially graphics driver failure... :(

Nah the computer I got has 3gb ram, 500gb harddrive, 2.86 ghz, firewire, etc. But it has Vista pre home. I will keep this and test it out. I heard u can't type in chat when having vista is this true?

I hope you mean double 2.8GHZ, but vista isn't as bad as some claim it is, sure it has some bugs but they will get sorted out much like when xp came out, but we aren't saying it still sucks (totaly)

From what ive seen of vista, it the teh pwn. The graphics are much better, shinier at least, and the overall use is much better.

But really, i havent even seen that much of it.

Dude Windows Vista and Windows ME are teh pawnage!! (also MAC) :) Windows vista is alot better than XP. I got both windows vista and XP and vista is better cause it has mose grahpics and more technology in the hard drive than XP. also, you have have several screens going in a diagnal like!! xD :) I really like windows vista and windows me, but rather have a mac :) (THE BEST!!!)

I'm hating my Vista right now. There's almost none of the programs that I use on an XP for Vista (including GIIIIIIIIMP), and all the unnecessary flashy SFX just lag the thing! UGH!
