Carrying Magazines

I'm talking about magazines with ammo
not the reading kind

Wouldn't it be nice to carry magazines for your favorite gun?
The magazines would cost more depending on the gun
weapons worth 1 - 10kp - 3 magazines for 1kp
10kp - 30kp and less - 2 mag for 1kp
30-40kp - 1mag for 1kp

I know you can purchase a refill from the store for 3 kill coins but you do have to travel and risk getting killed. You can ony buy one refill and it's wasteful just buying ammo for all your guns when you have only one favorite. It's more reliable to have ammo at your fingertips.

You will carry the magazines on a belt. Max of 10 magazines. If you die you will be refunded like when you buy a refill.

What do you guys think about the idea and prices?

i'm going to add that you can also buy a pouches so you can put more magazines and some health packs (max of 2) which heal 75hp each

You would probably die before you use the clips.

i do not think it is a relly good ideal because what cpljello said u would shurly die before the second clip.

well a noob would die before using 20bullets of 60 in his mac-11 by some experienced dude with handgun

so this is good for experienced players

i added health packs so that would counter both of your argurments

Well, that would mean extra animations for reloading.
And the original ammo has to come in belts/clips too.

I think a good idea. But i think they should take off the ammo/health purchase points if clips/health packs would come to game. You should go to yóu base and buy more if needed from there. it would prevent some spawn camping. hope you understood because my english sucks

this is the greatest idea after bayonets...
i find that if you run out of bullets in a desert eagle or shotgun and all you have is a lousy kimber, you are more likely to get killed on your way back to the refiller..
also an animation for reloading isnt necessary, just a short pause where you cant fire

I like the idea, but it would have to be a .01 reload time so you wouldn't get killed.
Never gonna happen though.

Why have the pawn character reload? You could just press a button and it would reload it.
What if you are in a 500 kill game you'd be able to buy as many magazines as you want??

Sure this idea has lots of flaws but they can be worked out...

Um so like you buy the magz when you buy the guns before you press ok?

I think its ok Maybe magz just over half price then gun used for o_O!

Night r fail at reading atm. ive gone 2 days without sleep cause i gots extra homework... anyways wouldnt this kinda encourage camping? the ammo would last forever on p90's >.<

Maybe magazines should be limited for weapons with large ammo capacitys.
I hope this thread doesn't get locked. I like this idea.

Well, considering that actually a good number of people did agree with this suggestion, your suggestion might actually be of some use, regardless of its huge bump. However, the ammo capacities on the guns were already ramped up so that we would be able to have sufficient ammo to be able to get to a refill safely before running out.
