The launch of Pawn approaches...

It's been 9 months of beta testing, but the 1.00 release of Pawn is finally upon us. On Wednesday, May 2nd we will be receiving a flurry of new users from the CMG (crazymonkeygames.com) website along with a game update. This increase of traffic should be smooth and steady over the course of the next 2 weeks - after which we should see a massive jump in traffic from Pawn's placement on the CMG front page!

Along with this update will be another score reset. I apoligize to any of you who didn't know this was coming, but it was posted in the very first news article. This reset will let some of our new users have a shot at the higher ranks.

With this increase in traffic there will be lots of new users, so I'm counting on you guys to help out where ever needed. We want to keep Pawn a fun environment for everyone. :)

I've watched this game grow from a select few users to a thriving community. Over the months players have joined us, players have left us, but some have decided to stick with Pawn and help out. In my mind these are the veteran players. You know who you are, and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for making Pawn such an enjoyable place. :)

Nope. Stats are being reset means your kills/deaths/MVP/team wins will be reset. I don't know if that includes posts though...

Not really. Right now the server is doing almost no work. It's designed to handle a lot more. 90% of the lag your having right now if your computer's fault... Also Flash does have it's limits of "not laggyness".

I still don't get the point of resetting the stats...

That's what we ALL have to go through because there's some new people? There's a bunch of new people everyday, so what makes that any different? Come on blank...

Well, it would be rather unfair for CMG users, with CMG making Pawn possible, to have a disadvantage vs people who are free loaders :P

That and CMG users didn't have a chance to even know about Pawn...


Also, stat resets are common in early phases of most games... so it shouldn't be un-expected.
