What he's saying is that, at first, he played a little in a ladder match, scored twenty points, and then he only played in custom maps for a while. Effectively blocking himself from ranking up at all, and not knowing that he was doing it it. Why he feels to share this with everyone, I don't know. Perhaps he wanted warn other beginners. However this probably shouldn't be in map making.
