Gimp Tutorials
Well, you goto admit. This forum has the most stickies. Until this topic. After seeing so many stickies and so many tutorials being made.I think this topic should gather them all. Im sure the mods can merge post. Becuase i seen it in the old forums. if this works out. i can fix this post up and add sections to make it look cool and neat.

Should we add our tuts if we have one? I guess that I just will...
I'm making a Tutorial on how to make popout sigs like this one!
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/8100/bigcw5.png
Step 1!
Go to File>New, and set it however large you want it. (I put it as 500x250). Set the backround color as Transparency. Click Ok.
Step 2!
Go to Layer>New Layer, and set the new layer to the dimensions that you want it at. (I use 420x175). Set the color as white. It should look like this.

Step 3!
Make a backround on the white layer, and merge the backround down to the transparent layer. It should look like this.
http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb166/KILLERNOOBKAKE/Halo3Logo_Effects-2.png
Step 4!
Go to Layer>New Layer (use the size of your white layer which would mean 420x175 for me. Make the Layer transparent). After you make the layer, go to Select>All, and then go to Edit>Stroke Selection. The color should be on white. Make the line width 15, and hit Stroke. That should look like this.
http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb166/KILLERNOOBKAKE/Halo3Logo_Effects-3.png
If it looks like that, go to the Layer Dialog, and by the word "Mode" there should be a thing that you can scroll down. Scroll down until you get to "Overlay." It should look like this.
http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb166/KILLERNOOBKAKE/Halo3Logo_Effects-4.png
After you make your boarder merge it down to the backround layer.
Step 5!
Just simply move the layer, so that it's near the center.
Step 6!
Now to add the render! Hit Ctrl+Alt+o and open your render. Size your render so that it fits into the transparent part. It should look like this!
http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb166/KILLERNOOBKAKE/Halo3Logo_Effects-5.png
Step 7!
Add some text!

YOU'RE DONE!!!
