Why do people hate campers so much? it's a strategy that happens to pwn you, so you dislike it?

I eraly don't hate camping. I don't like it that much because of three reasons:
1. I can't get camped unless I'm sniping whitch I only do for a few minutes.
2. I can't find good camping places exeapt for sniping.
3. If I do find a good camping place, THE OTHER TEAM HAS ALREADY SECURED IT!

On topic: Camping is a tactic. It is made to be used.

Camping is fine. I don't mind it at all. I don't do it, but I don't mind it.

I hate two things, though:
When someone gets angry at blue team for camping their arti in an assault game. Defense is supposed to camp. That's the way it works.

When someone gets angry at people for "camping" by being a map outside of their spawn point and killing them when they come through. It's not camping if you're gone all the way to the enemy spawn point and you happen to stay on that screen for a few seconds.

People who whine about camping annoy me. If I don't want someone camping in most games, I just TK them and move on. When I can't do that, I just suck it up.

Hope they mob up in a little cluster and just lob off all their heads in the split second you get to live, many kills and fun to do!

Camping isn't a big concern. It'll only get you once, and now their position is given away. Camping only works once, all they get is one kill.

If the whole team is doing it it's better. Railgun their face off. More targets = easier to hit. For example: The whole blue team was camping on this map called Sneak. They were all using heavy weapons, spamming these two entrance ways. I could remember where they were so I picked up 3 easy headshots with the railgun from below.

depends, spawn camping is a tactic, a very annoying one, very easily slayed if in groups of less then 4 people, but if there is a whole team spawn camping, its annoying.

Regular camping is a respectable strategy, if you don't kill within first 3 seconds, they get away, and you have to switch spots, so you have to be skilled to camp, cause if you miss, they get away, and you wont get thier kill.

AMEN! Camping is a great tactic for when there is a situation that camping works best for. (Duh.) Those who use lesser tactics when camping works best get UBERpwnt.

It works more than once if you use boxes and the Mac-11 SD (Or Kimber .45 SD). Then, you can nail quite a few people, without having to move.

it's no fun when your team mates leave the room when the entire enemy is camping and changing spots everytime, you're left alone fending off 5 guys that always change positions.

Ty for all the replies. I figured I'd be flamed way much more. I'm going to continue camping :) (atleast until I get 5500 kills and I practice non-camping tactics anyway :P)

I dont call it Camping nor Sniping but Guerilla Tactics. I personally think Guerillas are cowards who know they can't fight 1 on 1. It has been used throughout history by small paramilitary forces with success against stronger forces. How do you think we Americans won the Revolutionary War, we didn't fight blow for blow, we were jumping behind trees and shooting. So I do believe it has a significant part in Military history and should be included in this game.

Easier way: find out where they are, get out of their LOS, but where you can see them. Aim at the box, jump down, depending on where it is start firing away, or when you lead, fire and jump. :)

Camping isn't fun anymore because everyone pwnz you like that unless you've got the Abrahm or something.. lol

especially in arena then theres nearly always campers hiding and they dont move in the boxes so they get headshotted

camping is part of the game.

the only camping i hate is when they are spawn camping and it is so laggy that you can't spawn and move with out dieing. If you are in that game and tell me that this is happing, i will leave the spawn(this is just good sports-man-ship) but not every 1 will listen, the best thing to do is to suck it up and camp aginst them :)

Read the first post, smart one :) I clearly wanted to know why people hated camping so much.
