I might get any one of these, Post whitch one you like best so i can factor that into my opinion.
1. Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Tiger Striped,Cherry Sunburst color..

This one is my personal favorite, for the fact that slash uses it. Also at an affordible price. Soft sound for sweet riffs.
2. Epiphone SG Ebony Black colored.
http://img3.guitarcenter.com/dbase/pics/products/7/6/4/274764.jpg
This one is very nice, great for really heavy riffs and such. Sounds much more Tinny than the first one.
3. Epiphone G-400 SG limited edition, Jet Black with whammy bar, and brass faceplate for vintage look.

This guitar has more looks than the original SG. The whammy bar also helps make my decision. Although this guitar is 100$ more, i think it is worth it.
*NOTE
Epiphone is a licenced maker of gibson products. They are made in the same factory, but one gets the gibson name, and one gets epiphone. Epiphone is much more affordable.*

Haha I was just looking in a guitar center mag. and there is a Schecter deimond series in it. Not a very nice looking guitar... Ugly paint job..
It would look much better without the ugly paint job.
Its on here for 500$ more than what im looking for :(

What color is it, cuz i gott a really nice colored one. trust me its a good guitar it was refered to me by the lead guitarist from cannibal corpse(the one who left) he said that was one of the best guitars he ever had for under a few grand. it sounds just as good clean as distorted.
pooky its not so much the looks as the sound. id rather choose a good sounding guitar over a better looking one.
And what price range ore you looking in i got mine for $650. Go buy at Guitar Center they have alot of sales and its just generally cheaper then buying from a mag or another store.

Yeah it also depends what kind of music you are trying to play. Heavy for heavy metal you can get an SG type guitar, softer stuff is like a Les Paul or a Fender Strat for Straight Old skool rock.

Id rather get a nicely sounding one that's also a good looking one :D (i.e. the les paul i have up there)

dude it depends, if you want an overall guitar get the one with the whammy bar as you can do the most with it,look at ibenez guitars....they have good sound. if you are in a band take the first one, good if you play rhythm parts. try sam-ash music stores cuse they are not too expensive and have some good stuff. i use the uber-rare casio DG-20, its good, but i don't think you can find one, also if ya don't know how the tighten the stings it becomes hard to play.

Yeah but i have one doubt about the whammy:
When you use the whammy alot, the guitar looses tuning stability, so its harder to tune and harder to keep in tune.
About ibanez, i dont really trust their guitars, i dont know why they are just too cheap and they look flimsey.

Dude, personaly if had to pick one of those, would go with teh 2nd one. But that was if "had" to pick one of those. Would really buy a Dean Guitar or an Eddie Van Halen "Frankenstein" (http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-CHA-2205150-000.html).

TBH SG's suck badly, there hard to keep balanced and when u perform they look terrible on you. I know I have a cherry red SG and it's a nuisence, I would go for les paul, but in a diffrent color. also the Eddie Van Halen guitar = a pretty penny, I doubt most normal ppl wouldnt go THAT far to buy a guitar.

dude...tuning is uber-easy, i mean if you suck at it use a tuner. i even have to re-tune my bass after i pitch bend notes a lot buts easy. its worth it when a get to the end solo of a gig use the whammy bar to rub some funk on it to stir the audience. and it will only pull your strings out of tune if you use it excessively like my friend does.
also...i said ibenez sounds good...i did not say they are durable.
