MC Frontalot. Nerdcore to the core, and downright hilarious. His lyrics aren't super deep, but they do have meaning, and it's not generic "i'm cooler then you" mainstreap rap. ]You[ should really check out some of his songs, one of my favourites is called Canadia. It's] just[ epic. They have mp3s on his site which have no quality] lost[ during their recording. Easily] the[ greatest rap song I have ever heard. It's all about video] game[s, science, and other related topics(and also about giving homosexuals equal rights and why Canada sucks)]
[Just google MC Frontalot]

Hah. The Game. Like the rapper. yr so funny.

Also, I barely like MC Frontalot. He's sorta funny, but in terms of skill or whatever you want to call it he's pretty mediocre. I'd like to throw out Del tha Funkee Homosapien as one of the best, his flow is amazing.

I'd also like to mention about 4/9 of the Wu-Tang Clan.

But it's so... FUN! Besides, rap (in general*) isn't music.

Music has three-five main elements: pitch, rhythm, dynamics, and timbre/texture. Most rap (in general) lacks pitch and dynamics, thus leaving only rhythm. Timbre and texture exist in all music (and combinations of multiple sounds, whether it sounds good or not) so I am ignoring those two for this. Lacking 2/3 of the main elements of music means rap (in general) doesn't constitute as music. Chew on that for a bit.

*In general means that there is the occasional exception.

Does this mean your voice sounds repulsive in any octave?
Or are you specifically thinking auto-tune.

I'm hoping you at least got this from some music theory thingy or something.
Not like that makes your claim entirely credible, anyway.

No, it means in order to get a beat to match my pitch I need to modify the beat and the pitch, but that makes the beat sound dumb so I need to remake the entire beat in an entirely different tempo.

I've never had this problem, and I'm honestly not quite sure what you mean, exactly.

1. Make beat.

2. Rap over beat as it plays.

3. Rap song.

They are good, but, I wouldn't class them as "The best." I've heard maybe one or two good songs by them, one of them being 'Dance with the Devil' which is the most epic song around.

I'll go check out this man eilios speaks of, he may be pretty good, although I've never heard of him.

I see a problem with the thread title.

To have a greatest musician of a specific genre of all time means you have to have a worthwhile genre to compare artists in. Rap, as it stands. Is not a worthwhile genre.

Most mainstream rappers either don't care about what they rap about, it's pretty sad. They just sell this total crap because it does just that, sells. Underground rap isn't much better, it's a bunch of people who think they're better then mainstream rappers because they're more hardcore or whatever. Nerdcore is best because they know exactly what they are, a whole different class.

Sarcasm detector not working. My point is, underground rappers aren't like hippies("we gotta stop the maan, man") or hipsters("sellout bands suck"), it's more like the general braggadocio you see in most rap amplified by the mild success and massive egos of the band.
