How exactly does the recon class work? When you go invisible can they see you when up close? Anything else i should know?

The recon class is invisible as long as you dont get close to your enemy..As soon as you get about 5 tiles close they can see you. The recon class is also a laggy class and most used in PT. People will complain about you gunning as a recon or if it seems like a throw because of server lag..Hope this helped.

yes tyheres alot u should know. look at the stickies and guides. also when a recon knifes a medium armor class there are 3 points of contact. if you hit 2 of them you kill the medium armor class.

-invisible at long distances
-you can tell if you're invisible if you can partly se through yourself(might not be fully invisible)
-every class but lancer and guard can 1-hit-kill the recon
-nighthawk(2nd gun) makes you slightly less visible when used when invisible
-knife takes 1 hit for recons, 2 for lancer, assault, support, and mauler (don't even try for heavy or guard)
-turns visble when it uses knife or mp5(1st gun)
-fastest class(tied with lancer)

Use your knife on opponents such as: Assault, Support, Recon, Mauler, and Lancer.
If you happen to take 3/4 of the opponents health away, back up and use your machine gun.
Do not scoot back. Follow through with your knife attacks.
Always use the best aim when your knifing. Hold your knife a little, too.
Immediately get away from Heavy's and Guard's: Get on higher elevation and use your machine gun on them.
Be a determined player.
When holding the flag, pressing it upon another player is a one hit kill. Hold the flag and release on the players body. 1 hit kill.


That's what I can think of, as of now.

Note on guards: You should never try knifing or gunning them at the same elevation when they are at full health but remember, they do low damage to you, making escape easy.

Analysis: You are not much of a threat to them and they in turn are not much of a threat to you.

heres ALL OF MINE

1. when using recon, lagg is YOURS to use
2. Heavys & Guards should be avoided at ALL costs
3. When flagging, be sneaky and dodgy about it, u have speed so you should use it
4. When knifing against other recons, spaz out, confuse them and then stop and nail em!
5. When knifing melee-spamming assaults, go 3/4 to their body, and back up to avoid melee
6. U are invisible, so why not have some fun?
7. Wherever you are at, you should always be on the lookout for stalkers..
8. When in doubt, yell NO HEAVIES or sexually harass a heavy till he cries and leaves:P
9. #8 works 7/10 times :D

I love how when people think of recon they think of lag. It is so easy to kill a laggy recon its not even funny. People think recons are invisible? Why do you think the heavy and assaulters were given so much ammo? To spray obviously... and spraying would uncover anyone who is invisible. Assaulters and heavies also have something called the melee function, where you can 1 hit KO a recon, where as a recons knife can't kill a heavy, and it only kills the assaulter in one hit every once in a while. If you don't have lag, I would suggest playing as a recon for it is a great class to capture flags.

When you spawn as a recon, you are cloacked. If you gun or knife, you uncloak. To re-cloak, just wait a few seconds. If you are close enough to an enemy, they can see you, even if you are cloaked. Recon's are good for killing other recons, maulers, and maybe assults and medics. they mostly use their knives (number 3) or sometimes their guns.

Recons are very good. Try not to fight Heavys or gaurds with them. But with everyother class its really good agents. Its best weapon is its knife so always try to use that.

And if you find yourself fighting a heavy get higher up and gun it down.
And if you find yourself fighting a guard try to stay behind it and keep shooting.
