We're only a couple of hours away from the start of Game 1. The defending champions Philadelphia Phillies will be playing in the NEW Yankee Stadium against the favorites, New York Yankees.

Both teams will be sending the jewel of their staff to the mound, with Cliff Lee going for Philly, and CC Sabathia going for New York. Coincidentally, both are AL Cy Young winner for the Cleveland Indians. I feel sorry for poor Cleveland. All their stars leave their city.

So it is now time to state your pick. I personally think that Philadelphia can pull off the "upset" over the Bronx Bombers. I like their rotation a bit more than the Yanks, and their offensive production is at about the same level. Both teams are home-run hitting teams, and will be playing in two home-run hitting parks(Yankee Stadium and Citizens Bank Park).

Just because the Yankees have the best player, best stadium(for baseball), and best team, doesn't always mean they're going to win.
I think Phillies cuz they have confidence, great team that all depend on each other, and all have fun. Hope Martinez does well for game 2!

So the Yanks got a win in game 2, but it wasn't pretty. Two blown calls in the game, and the Phillies nearly rallied against arguably the best closer ever, Mariano Rivera. Now the series moves to Philly, and I have confidence that Philadelphia can close it out at home.
