Hey All! Sorry this is a bit late, I had a pretty busy weekend.

So to excite all you viewers, I will divulge a bit about the still-in-concept class tree. Yes, a TREE of classes. We thought it would be a really cool idea where everyone starts as just a normal Joe, a citizen of sorts. With playing and leveling up, the choices of who you are get WIDER, not more narrow.

Our colleague/partner Wisnoskij has cracked off a really intense class tree, that includes almost all the cool professions out there. Suffice to say I recoiled in awe(some). For example-- if you like the guns, you will get more successful gun-running techniques by taking a stroll down the Militia class base; but if you want to change gears a bit, you could also start being a scientist, and from there one could suit their tastes to become whatever they want, be it an Assassin/Engineer, to a Guerrilla/Computer Scientist/whatever you have enough levels for. (P.S. all those classes are actually in the works of concepts and design).

It is a bit of a tricky system and may be daunting at first, but the idea is that the more you play, the more you will be able to learn/"manipulate" the class tree to get exactly what you want.

And as an added bonus to being a bit late on the whole postage of this entry, I have included a prelim about what the houses are going to look like(still a bit rough). The reason it will be a bit time consuming (as mentioned before) is because all the blood and grime that give it the haunting feel is hand-drawn, and not just blood "stamps" copy and pasted . This hopefully will give a more authentic feel.

And before I close, as another added tidbit, that some of the houses included in the game will our actual houses in real life (to save time in designing actual floor plans).

Love how you describe it, very nice.
Looking forward to it, and I'm glad you're not skimping on stuff, like using real floor plans is great, more professionalism less time, and hand drawn blood is great, a concept most developers seem to lose sight of it dynamic blood is FAAAAARRRR greater than static.

I can say I appreciate the extra effort and efficiency, and the game isn't even out yet. :P

Finally a picture for our Zed hungry needs. Post 600 is Zed worthy. Also more on topic, I'm glad we start off all the same and our skills widen not narrow, I'm not a fan of smaller and smaller choices. Great job Zed team.

Not what I was getting at. JP is a single man gfx guy, they don't have the resources nor the $$$ to hire others to help them in their efforts.

that is why there is a free reasource, which is the graphics crew.
They are entitled to make graphics/sigs/pictures. I dont understand why the admins cant ask the graphics team... but maybe its to early.

also, the crew could really help the time consuming map sketch of the whole zed world.

hummm im gana point this out thu u have prob noticed this j-pills

the colors u chose to make this are rather "impropriate" 4 the game it self,
this is something that some dark fillters will not exactly fix

the yellow is not ment to tuch red unless u wana make a happy add 4 macdonalds(yellow is wayt 2 happy of a color).
imo(thu i dont wana be telling u how 2 do ur job) aviod useing yellow as much a possiabel...try doing some dark wood/tan wood tiles or a hand full of cement/stone tiles variations.....

and i rlly rlly rlly rlly rlly rlly hate how u did the stairs....i was hopeing the u would do something more like pawn tactics with the stairs...thu things would be alot more indebth and realisit

i actaully liked blank's vison of the classes more that the whole vison of "one rlly big class tree 4 everone"...(u pick a class 2 start)...i was hopeing that ever class had like 3-more sets of trees(all classes need 2 have something in combat, maybe they can all share a tree or 2) and sub-classes would have one of their trees replaced with a specialty tree...maybe as u level more u get more accese to more skill trees(maybe based on tree-s that u have already mastered/did not tuch)

i lost alot of the interest in the game when i saw ur post.....

well i hope u got a chance 2 read this

Dude, you have so many typos my FF is making my screen red. Also maybe that house was happy before the zombies invaded. Also realize that the skill tree is based on what classes you pick it broadens out with each choice you make. (I'm pretty sure.)

I like the happy seens that turn into uber epic zombie entrance :D

but because it is a bird's eye view, night still has a point. It sorta like a dollhouse that just got rapped by zombies.

either way. Gloomy colors = glomy game... i dislike looking at a dark screen all the time.

...the more I look at it, the more it reminds me of FF7. Seems like this game will look amazingly good with all the detail you plan to put in.

*edit* I would recommend having it switch from night-day, for realism & you could have multiple things affected by the different times. At night the zombies would be on the streets more, it would be more dangerous, and you might have a better chance at good loot, where during the day, zombies are less active in the streets, but are still active inside buildings, and the loot in the buildings is greater than that of the streets. Get my drift? Maybe have a few different story lines behind the characters, to make it a bit more unique, rather than the same old stuff you see in every other zombie game, where it launches you into fighting, or it gives a 10 second long clip with the same cliche "I got off of work, when I noticed the streets were empty, and I could hear screaming...etc." Anywho...

Looks good.

You should make everything darker.. So there is a light source(lamp) and its a dark room.. It adds to the zombie effect

Looks good.

yeah dont make it too dark and also put some options like in df to high, med and low as for high to be dark with a flash light and low for daylight. :D

dude if u want DF in daylight before u choose between multi-player and single mode, choose low settings and when u choose the game mode u will then be able to play in daylight not dark.

Ur playing in high setting that's y is dark lol.

Why cant it be 3d? Ive seen 3d flash games before. But none with the potential that ZED does. But its allright if you keep it 2D i thought you guys would try something new.

Most of the categories are pretty self explanatory, but I'll go over the list just to give you all an idea of what kind of things to expect.

Sidearms - Holstered for quick access. (Ex) P99, P220, USP, Glock, Colt Python, Desert Eagle.
SMGs - Combining automatic fire of a machine gun with the cartridge of a pistol. (Ex) Mac-11, Uzi, MP5, Wather MP, UMP, Spectre M4, P90.
Shotguns - Useful in close quarters combat situations. (Ex) Mossberg 590, Benelli M3101, SPAS, Remington 1100, Double Barrel, SAIGA, USAS-12.
Sniper Rifles - Long range rifles. (Ex) Mosin-Nagant, M25, Dragunov.
Assault Rifles - Rifles capable of both semi-automatic and automatic fire. (Ex) Famas, Steyr Aug, L85A1, G36, M16, FN Scar, M4 Carbine, AK47.
LMGs - Although still capable of being carried, these weapons are very heavy. (Ex) Bren, Ameli, M249.
HMGs - These weapons must be mounted first before being fired. (Ex) M2 Browning, M61 Vulcan.
Explosive - Any weapons that contain an area of effect in damage. (Ex) Grenade, M32, XM306.

One Handed Blades - Any small melee weapon with a blade. (Ex) Knife.
Two Handed Blades - Melee bladed weapons that require two hands. (Ex) Axe.

So, it seems as if, it is a 1D game(like DF) almost like you wouldn't be able to see the guns very well, luck you guys, don't have to focus to hard on the nasty stuff, xD.

Hey All! Sorry this is a bit late, I had a pretty busy weekend.

So to excite all you viewers, I will divulge a bit about the still-in-concept class tree. Yes, a TREE of classes. We thought it would be a really cool idea where everyone starts as just a normal Joe, a citizen of sorts. With playing and leveling up, the choices of who you are get WIDER, not more narrow.

Our colleague/partner Wisnoskij has cracked off a really intense class tree, that includes almost all the cool professions out there. Suffice to say I recoiled in awe(some). For example-- if you like the guns, you will get more successful gun-running techniques by taking a stroll down the Militia class base; but if you want to change gears a bit, you could also start being a scientist, and from there one could suit their tastes to become whatever they want, be it an Assassin/Engineer, to a Guerrilla/Computer Scientist/whatever you have enough levels for. (P.S. all those classes are actually in the works of concepts and design).

It is a bit of a tricky system and may be daunting at first, but the idea is that the more you play, the more you will be able to learn/"manipulate" the class tree to get exactly what you want.

And as an added bonus to being a bit late on the whole postage of this entry, I have included a prelim about what the houses are going to look like(still a bit rough). The reason it will be a bit time consuming (as mentioned before) is because all the blood and grime that give it the haunting feel is hand-drawn, and not just blood "stamps" copy and pasted . This hopefully will give a more authentic feel.

And before I close, as another added tidbit, that some of the houses included in the game will our actual houses in real life (to save time in designing actual floor plans).

I don't want to add stress or anything, but shouldn't there be a broken door since a random person should have the decency to at least close and lock a door if a zombie with blood all over his mouth, torso, head, etc comes charging at him.
