Name of tournament
What map it is to be played on
Req of the contenders
Contenders List
Referee list
Etc.

Yes, but they need requirements to be approved/denied. This idea is useless, unless reqs are involved.

Also, unless they bring back the Tournament Directors, I don't think is necessary.

You said "approved" i assumed that there would have to be certain requirements for someone's thread so it can be approved. It can't be to based off of how the clan section is being run because there are difference when it comes to posting a clan thread and posting a tournament thread.
And who would approve the threads?

It would be ok, but I'm saying no. I think that every user should be eligable to create there own tournament and express what they want to write on their thread the way they want to. I would've said yes if there were requirements but since you didn't mention anything about that I'm saying no.
