Hey All! JPillz here with the weekly Dev Blog.


So as of right now, I do not own the miracle of the internet. As such, I am writing to you from Blank101's computer.


News, News, let's see if there is any news for the week. I have been having a really busy week and all free time has been devoted to building a city. It is not as quick as I previously thought. Trying to fit in all the detail (blood and guts ;) ) is turning out to be quite time consuming. Maybe the next time I write, I will be able to show you screens what the maps would look like.

Another big task I am working on is making the characters, another task that will be very in depth. Since the players will need to reload, shoot. walk, and use every melee weapon possible, we need to account for EVERYTHING.

So yea, it's gonna be big.

Blank101 and I had a chat recently to hash out the game-play system and we modified for the most part (I am not sure what you have heard, so this may not even be a "change"). As elaboration to Blank's figurative situation last post, we are going towards total squad action. From anywhere of 5 to 10 people, you will need heavy squad tactics to do better than random lone wolf tactics; because an entire city alone is quite daunting...
Or so the plan is anyways.

I am not sure what you gather from Blank101's mention of classes, but a large part of being customizable and unique is our plan of advanced skill trees. Even sub-class specializations will be added for a massively diverse selection of builds and abilities. Should be pretty cool.

But basically the design process is being looooong and tedious. So I don't have much news for you guys in that regard. 2 weeks on my next post though I SHOULD have something to show you loyal viewers.

don't rush it buddy. Do what Valve does. Or used to do, until L4D2. The detail is what makes it great.

You concentrate on the city, JP. You have an entire graphics crew at your disposal, have them do some work.

Also take plenty of breaks. Take your time. Don't want to overstress yourself.

I guess if it's time consuming then I'm sure those blood and guts are pretty realistic or just in a vast quantity. :>

Maybe there will be multiple ways of dying, therefore more types of blood etc...


From what I'm hearing, it's gonna be a super dupper great game :-D. Can't wait to see the screenies :D.

From the looks of it, it seems as if this game won't be coming out for a very long time. xD


Nonetheless, can't wait to see how it turns out, especially the combat part.

I have an idea. Perhaps the squads would be a bit like clans, and you could have a squad hideout or something, and you could buy things to fortify your hideout? Maybe I will make a thread regarding this topic...

Sucks that you can't lone-wolf this game. It'd be much easier to avoid griefers that way.

Couple of things came to mind-

How many zombies should we be expecting to see at once?
Will this be a 'persistent' city, or lobbies?
What should we look for in terms of weaponry?
Will Accuracy be a factor? Reloading?

Call me crazy, but wouldn't one kind of effect the other? Classes wouldn't matter if there were nowhere to 'shoot stuff', as it's been put.

hey i think this game will be cool but i think instead of starting game with alot of wepons like in pawn tactics if that whats your doing is it start with just a pistol and knife and collect wepons along the way like in some games like robokill

just a thought

i almost forgot too add i think some wepons need certain skill points in one ability like in strength to carry heavy wepons and stuff like that comment on this plz

So the idea is more like dead frontier, right? then its should be really fun souding kind of. make sure there are multiple playable classes like tactics or something. Cuz we don't need another fun letting game like the original pawngame... GL whats your name.

i wana go lone wolf for the start i think every one should just 2 get the feel of the game then start going into groups so you all not running around like noobs and get fraged by some elite squad or some really good lone wolf

Actually sounds pretty interesting. One question that I have been thinking of, is it going to be 2d or a F.P.S.? If so will a client be necessary to play? If someone has already asked this then I am sorry that this is old news.
