Should it be just strictly AI, or Zombies as playable characters?

I was thinking it might be cool to be able to pick your side when you make an account like in WoW, you can either be on the zombie side or the human side, but the humans would get alllll these weapons and it wouldn't be very fair.

No, you all fail to realize this is an RPG. My hypothesis is that a horde of zombies will be attacking us at the same time. So get the mind out of your head that it's going to be like PT, pick a class, fight, die, respawn, and so on. It will just be better and smarter if we play as the humans.

Hopefully, they can make the 2 sides equal(if there are). Humans get the advanced weaponry while zombies get masses. If you choose to be zombie, you get to have like 5 extra lives before you actually gain a death or you get to have 4 more AI zombies to help you out, and you get to lead them as a hybrid/cooler zombie. The stronger the zombie you choose, the less AI's you get and the weaker the more zombies :D

I think it would be cool to have the option, but everyones main should be human, and then they can play as a zombie in a second "World" (room) where it would be balanced out. That way you don't have a level 10 human with a SG blasting away a level 100 zombie (being controlled by a person). In other words, if zombies are going to playable, they need to have an advantage that humans don't have, and/or need to be put in a seperate room. I am really tired, so if you are confused im sorry :p

I played a game called, "DarkEden" and the game concept was so cool, but gameplay failed...

Vampires Class vs Human class.

This concept allowed users to create any of which class and there goal is to defeat other classes, when in wilderness.

It was good concept over all and very fun.

Well who said if you get turned into a zombie you can't become human again? I don't remember anyone saying that. And if players were zombies? Make them special infected, like maybe a zombie that looks like a regular NPC, but can really sprint for a short time. (aka spy zombie). Could also have zombies that are weak, but quicker, or maybe one that can tell 5-10 zombies in the area what to do, or even make it so you can possess regular ole zombies, and when you get killed by a player you just transfer over to another one. Its not about the game being an RPG and having to be strictly AI, but making sure you incorporate the zombies correctly if they were player controllable.
Pro's of AI: It would be cool, and you would have no surprises since every zombie is the same (unless we actually have special infected.
Con's of AI: You know exactly how they act. If we have slow zombies (which I am hoping for) they would be stupid, and easy, only problem is numbers. Plus, if the AI is anything like I think it'll be, people will probably just get together, bait the zombies into the corner, and start lobbing grenades.
Pro's of playable zombies: Feeling dead? Life got ya down? Have fun chewing on your previous comrades, or at least attempting to before getting shot in the face by buckshot.
Con's of playable zombies: Balance would have to be strict, so the zombies are a little weak when grouped on, but good for people who are alone. Gotta make it so they have weaknesses too.
My vote: For playables. (to fox demon of twelve o clock, you should stop being a raging flamer, we want your opinion and vote, not your bawwwwwwwwwwwwwww)

It may be an rpg but there could be 2 'races'(zombies+humans) and then different classes for each 'race.' Then the zombies would kill humans and level, humans kill zombie and level. There would be like AI humans and AI zombies as well.
