Combat Arms

Combat Arms is a free online first player shooter created by Nexon. It includes modes like One Man Army (Free for All), Elimination (TDM), Search and Destory and many others, including a new Quarantine Mode. It has a decent ranking, customization, and organization system. You can play with friends or fight alone. It currently has over 2,000,000 registered players and is still growing.

History: Combat Arms has been notorious for it's increasingly growing hacking and glitching problem within the game. Although most of it is fixed, the community hasn't learned to adapt with the new almost hacker-free enviroment.

Review: Combat Arms is a great game if you're into free online fps. It has a huge collection of weapons, explosives, melee, etc. Although you can only buy the gun for a certain amount of time, they are relatively cheap and earning GP is a breeze. You can also customize your character with what he's/she's wearing. You could have a helmet that offers protection (or at least somewhat) against headshots, or you could have a hat that boosts your speed. Same with face, camo, vest, and backpack items. Did I also mention you can choose what gender your character can be? Your character can also be male OR female, and if you buy NX from NX cards at certain locations, you can buy Mercenaries, characters that have a totally new appearance. They also have a fair and decent ranking system that works well until you get to the high levels. It starts getting a bit more difficult, and maybe even straining, to rank up. But, the more you rank up, the more weapons and equipment you can buy. The gameplay is smooth and clean, when it works. Although, there is a few glitches and annoyances within the game. The community is vast with people from all over the region.

Pros: Lots of variety with weapons and equipment. Game runs smoothly when it works. Gameplay is exciting and challenging. Game is pretty well balanced.

Cons: The community is filled with many young children, so you may often find yourself the only teen among a room. Hacking and glitching serve as a huge problem within the game. Weapon balance is a little off. Lag is also a slight issue with the game.

Overall: 6/10

I like Combat Arms.
Except, the retarded GP and NX system means, you are often left Un-armed, Un-equiped, with inferior weapons.
It means if your not a good player, you get worse equipment, making your chances of winning even thinner.
And you have to update it all the time.
So I stopped playing it.
But when I did play it my Scoped M16 and Uzi combo just.. OWNED!

Lowered score because this game is almost near to epic failure.

You join a room with an Elite Moderator, you're most likely to end up getting kicked by getting one headshot.

You join a room without an Elite Moderator, you're most likely to end up in a game with a hacker in it. The report system is epic fail, along with any other reporting meathod.

So to make it short and simple: Combat Arms is Combat Fail.

Combat Arms is an awesome game, but my computer I use for download games is simply to slow to play it anymore.

There are still hackers. I get opked all the time in the Recruite and Grunt servers. And they should fix tapping by, if you lose connection, your Combat Arms program will close. And you will have to reopen it.

The only reason I play it is because I usually play Fireteam or Quanatine.
