Welcome to the Zed Development Blog. To be clear, Zed is the codename for this project, NOT the release title. The end title may very well change over the course of development.

The purpose of this blog is to keep users up to date with what's going on behind the scenes. Specifically with what's going on with our current project - Zed. The blogging system is pretty new so expect some modifications in the near future.

So, you're curious what Zed is? Zed is our newest flash based project. It is being built on Flash Player 10 and is utilizing the same server technology that Pawn Tactics enjoys. For this game we have decided to stray away from the Pawn series and concentrate on something new and fresh. What could be newer and fresher then shooting rotting corpses?! At the moment we don't really have anything to show picture-wise, but as we get more content developed we will be uploading snap-shots of the game as we progress - so be sure to check back often!

Zed is a multiplayer, top-down shooter with AI controlled zombie enemies. There are multiple goals in Zed depending on what you want to accomplish. First and foremost is the survival goal: The longer you survive, the higher your score. However, it's not as simple as bunkering down and shooting zombies until you run out of ammo. You need to explore the world as well to get valuable resources which will aid your survival.

Another goal is improving your character. Since Zed is an RPG (Role Playing Game), you are also able to concentrate on leveling up your character and collecting valuable items from the world. Slaying bigger baddies will get you better items!

Both the players and zombies will be split into different sub-classes, but I'll save the details for a future post. :P

Well there's your first snippet of info. Keep in mind these are just preliminary ideas and are subject to change at any time. Check back often for more updates, pictures and some early demos of the game!
