I heard around that the Mauler's grenade launcher can do critical hits. Couple simple questions...
How do I do them, Just shoot the enemy head on?
and How will I know if its a critical hit? (Screenies?)
I want to know how to do this so I can finally get Mauler king :/
Please and thank-you!
You hit them dead on center, no true way to do it other than have some skill and a lot of luck.

I think you get critical hits when you hit enemies dead centre, and they usually die in one hit.
[I think its Light and Medium armor only]

Flippy is right, it is dead center, the Grenade looks like it goes in farther in than normal, and it will do more damage then normal, it is mostly luck.

first in order to make a critical happen the shot must be DEAD center which will only happen if the enemy is moving
and you lead him,so he walks into the shot. Light and medium die in 1 hit, while heavys die in two critical hits.
You'll know when you get a critical when the grenade explodes and is much louder then usual and the enemies
health drops significantly.

You have to guess where your opponent is going to be, lead them, and you have to adjust to distance and other obstacles to get the shot. When I get a critical hit, it's usually right in front of them or maybe it's center but I can't tell, and it makes a bigger noise.

Leading wouldn't work since grenades need to be specifically at the center to do a critical hit. If you're just a bit off, you'd get major splash damage instead of a critical hit.

The 80 damage dead on shot is dangerous enough, it does a great job of finishing off any weakened enemies.

Yeah, this critical hit needs real skill and luck to do it. It kills all medium and light armoured classes in one hit, and two for heavies. I never knew about the louder noise, so I guess I just learned something? We should let Klonoa explain this? :p

You can do that. Easiest way is to go on stairs (Your aiming up the stairs) and aim for the stairs. You can critical hit 100% from there

You'd still have to lead the target because of him moving and all. So depending on how far you are away, you would have to take a guess at where he would be, to get the critical hit.

Ok now that seems clear!
Now what if there was a secret way for all classes to have critical hits?
ooooh

I've done that before, it was a heavy and he was stupid enough to stand against the wall while spraying... I 2-hit killed him twice.

ignoring popular belief criticals have noting 2 do with how u hit or opponent or if he moves or not,
they happen at random, and are not even dependent on if u hit a target or not
but their are somethings u can do 2 help them happen more often
like when u aim at a wall/tower/stairs or aim a bit infrount of ur target
unlike normal nads, crits are alot more Thunder in their animation

Critical hits just happen from time to time, they're mainly random. BUT - From what I have personally seen before, they are affected by where you aim (In this case, a direct hit). As nightcold said, critical hits are a louder AND more noticable variant than your average grenade round.
I knew a person who I once taught and mastered how to get critical hits all the time. It's easy to get a crit hit when people are standing still. I once knew a person who knew how to always get a crit hit when opponents stood still (EddieUzumaki). Too bad he doesn't play anymore. (I still have yet to figure out how...)
There are also staircases which immediately trigger the crit hit along with walls. From what I have learned, wall crits are triggered when you are shooting from a certain angle rather than aiming straight.
Also, what I believe is that critical hits are likely to be triggered if your close to your opponent. That's just me though, because it happens frequently when I approach someone, and less likely to happen when your quite far away from your opponent.
The critical hit 1 hit kills recons, but also may happen to medium armored classes. Although that the critical hit MAY 1 SHOT THEM, they are also likely to survive the shot with just a pinch of health left, which determines the victor depending on the scenario.
In the end, critical hits are unexpected encounters. They are random, but also depending where you aim, it MAY (I could be wrong) increase the chance of achieving it. Keep in mind that crit hits also may be deadly to you depending on how close you are to the blast radius. Critical hits are also USELESS against a guard with their shield up. May do more damage, but it's a waste of time.

Does that help? =P It's pretty much what everybody said compressed and combined here.

I didn't even properly train Binny. o.O He was there because he messed around... I only taught him less than half of the things and look at him, he taught himself. =P

Never even taught me in the end. >.>
Also, one thing people failed to mention is that you can identify a Critical hit when the middle of your grenade shot emits a bright yellow spark. If the enemy gets hit right in the middle of that kind of shot, that is a Critical hit. :D
