.:Introduction:.
The point of this thread is to help clan leaders to create a clan thread and make it successful. I have written this to stop useless spam and irrelevant posts in the clan section. I will edit after feedback.
.:Creating Your Clan Thread:.
Clan threads play a key part of when you make a clan. A thread should be colorful, descriptive and helpful. It should state the clans purpose to exist and follow the rules set from this thread.

.:Analyzing A Clan Thread:.
Okay. So i will show you this thread.
http://www.pawngame.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116340
This thread has potential but has no colour. It lacks description and fails to be helpful. Doing something like this really doesn't give a potential member of this clan the impression they are looking for.
If you wish to own a clan. You put work towards it. Link them to your clan thread. Tell them what to do if they wish to join and decide on if they do or not. Simple.
.:What To Do If You Need A Clan:.
Well the more logical thing to do. Would be to..
1) Find a clan more suited to your status.
2) Look for the thread on the forums.
3) Read the requirements and rules.
4) Post an application to join or follow instructions given by the clan leader.
5) Wait to be appointed a Yes or No post if you are in or not.
.:What Not To Do:.
1) Don't post on every thread and hope to get in.
2) Don't act immature. People are looking for serious players. Not clowns.
3) Don't post a useless spam thread titled "I need a clan."
4) Pm a clan leader if you want to join privatly.
5) Do not continuosly post on a clan thread "Can i Join?" if you have already been denied.
.:Threads To Pay Attention To:.
Some threads are very well organized. They show that the creator has put a lot of time and effort into it. Therefore meaning his/her clan will succeed.
It's threads like these that will get your clan members:

.:Avoiding Your Thread From Being Locked:.
As clan threads are made, discussion about the clan start to rise. Meaning more and more posts. A lot of the time. The thread will go off topic. Flaming/spamming/trolling etc...Will result in your thread being locked. To avoid this. Keep in mind the Pawn Rules. Read them up a few times if you ever forget what they are. Looking down the page, we see the popular thread of Serious Internet Group. As you can see, the thread lasted quite some time. It was well presented and had mature posts. Until later on. Random bump posts and spam came into play. And SIG was given a warning. After 20 days. The spam didn't stop. And it was locked. Reading over this. I suggest you tell you're members to behave and act responsibly.
