I say no. Ever since beta, the Heavy minigun's power has been put down drastically, therefore allowing Recons to survive even longer against them. The Recon's MP5 has been buffed too. Even though the Heavy has a melee, if the Recon can get close to the Heavy, he would be able to strike 2 good, clean hits before the melee comes down.

Assaults aren't supposed to have a weakness, and if it did, it is definitely not the Recon. Assault is more of a balanced class. Recon is not.


If a single class can kill all the classes in 1-2 hits, besides the Guard, it is overpowered.

I remember in Beta when a recon would die from like 4 heavy bullets...

I'd like to be able to knife heavies again, but after reading baldy's post, he does have a point. A good recon can kill a medium armor class with a double hit, which is basically all of the classes, if you could knife heavies as well... Then the recon does seem overpowered.

And it is kinda easy to kill a guard with a recon IMO, just keep running and gunning it.

So if this does happen, then the recon could kill every single class 1 v 1.

lol. i believe in beta, it took for hits with the knife, unless u got one of the 2-3 in one hits. and melee for assault, it will take 4 melee hits to kill them.. god, just say Yes or No if you like/hate it, jeez
