People download illegal stuff because it can save you a lot of money over doing it the legal way(buying it from the original maker).

I think this is sort of a good idea to stop illegal downloading. The idea is that if you pay people money whenever they do it the legal way, they will have no reason to want to do it the illegal way.

I disagree with it too, though. Because even if you pay them to do it legally, the illegal way still has advantages as well. So whats stopping people from doing both?
