When the chaingun starts firing, with the heavy of course, usually on every other game I've played it has had to "warm up". There was a time when it just started to spin, then started firing. Does anyone agree?
Make it have a warm-up.
Do not flame others.

Maybe a few seconds to start up. Do you mean EVERY time that they start shooting? Or just the first time. Normally from what I have seen, it takes about two-three seconds to start.

OOH- I know, u have to warm it up at start, for 2 seconds. Then after you stop shooting it keeps spinning for another four seconds but no shooting, during those four seconds you can fire without having to warm up. Then after the four seconds of not firing, you hav to warmup for 500ms-1000ms-2000ms depending on how long you did not shoot or something like that XD

Ya every 2 seconds
When you become a class heavy
It should take 2 seconds
And you repawn its warms up and you start firing
And if you die then you have to do warm up again

Good idea...

*Supports* Would help other players get a leg up on the heavy.
And maybe when the gun gets used to much you have to wait till it cools down
Like a heat meter of something

no just no the hevs already at a nade disadvantage this would make it worse than the lancer or mauler

Erm no. That would make the assaults rape the heavies just using their primary weapon. Against the lancer it would be suicide and against the medic it would be 50-50.

It's birds eye view so they have to start up their Vulcan early. This wouldn't be too bad because you can see everyone in bird's eye view along with the Mini-Map in non-team related situations as they can just simply start it up while the opponent heads towards them.

With this implemented, the heavy has to act early. It should take about 1.5 seconds to start the gun up. o.o

yeah warm up is a good idea but not too long for it to warm up or it'll be disadvantaged. the need t ocooldown idea and spinning after you stop firing isn't bad.

Why doesn't it just warm up every time it uses it but you can hold a button to keep it spinning, but when you're spinning it you move slower.

Thats how it is in almost every other game with a chaingun

Take away from the Heavy class, thus making it slightly less newbie.

No, it has enough armor, it'll be fine. People won't flame the heavy as much if it has a warm up sequence.
