The new AMD phenoms compare to intel's last gen Core 2 Duos.

looks like the phenom ii 955 is doing a great job, lol @ it compares to 65nm intel

Core 2 Duo is intel's LAST GENERATION PROCESSOR.

Compare the phenom to the i7, it loses.

i misread your post, i thought you were comparing them to the 65nm, not 45 nm c2d

AMD's Phenom II 955 when compared to the Core i7 still gives you more bang for buck lol

PhII 955 = $245 + DDR2/DDR3 + Cheap 790XX series mobos

i7 920 = $290 + DDR3 + $$$ X58 Mobo

what im saying;

if you want an enthusiast level chip or like spending money, go intel

anything else low-high end on a budget, go AMD

i got my mobo+cpu on a combo deal on newegg for $200, try finding something similar with an intel cpu+mobo.
