Soap is now a Captain in Task Force 141.
A co-op mode exists outside of single player known as Special Forces.

Afghanistan


The game will run at 60 FPS.
They will use a "Live Patch" element to update the game without standardized patching.
The game boasts a more open style of gameplay.
A current theme in the game is the imperfect status of intelligence.
Riot shields are in the game, but unknown to their use in multiplayer.
The new villain is known as Makarov, an associate of Zakhaev.
New equipment and weapons exist. Purchase magazine to view.
The new Community Site will be advanced and epic.

Supposedly in the campaign there won't be the endless infinite waves on enemies that constantly spawn unless you move forward and out of cover. You can actually kill them all. That was an aspect I hated about the CoD4 campaign, you stay in cover and they keep respawning but you go out of cover and you get killed right away.

My friend says he'll only buy it if there is an UMP as a new weapon. I told him that's ridiculous to base a purchase off of 1 weapon thats in there. But he says its his favorite gun...

And does anyone who gets GameInformer tell us what new weapons are listed in the article??

I get GameInformer. They didn't release anything about the guns but they do have a pick of a gun that looks sort of like the Carbine but bigger, with an acog *can't see if it's an arrow or red dot* with a grenade launcher. There is a site where they have some real life guns that will be in the game. I can't post it atm because I'm on my Wii browser.

I think that would be good. Opens new doorways to make teamwork result in wining more. Off course this would only be if using the riot shield had drawbacks such as extremely slowed movement and being restricted to using your pistol.

Okay i would like to point out the fact that you mentioned the FAMAS in the post... first of all the reason it's overpowered in RSV is because the creators wanted to make the guns they used the most powerful, since they're foreign obviously the friggin FAMAS is going to be overpowered... besides, you get the noob tube :D

The Riot Shield will be used in the new "Special Forces" part of the game, basicly the style of the play is like that of the bonus mission in MW1 on the airplane. I doubt its the M4. Developers would want it to seem somewhat realistic in terms of the gear they carry. The M4 would be an epic fail in that sort of terrain, so much exposure to the elements that it would be clogged with snow and damaged beyond repair before they even made contact with any enemies.

Realistically, any Spec Ops sent in to that sort of terrain would be equipped with some sort of an AK-47 or another weapon of extreme durability.

But of course it has to be some sort of advanced hi-tech weapon due to the obvious fact that the one you have has a radar screen mounted onto the side.

It would naturally be worse than a real shotgun. If they are being a little bit realistic, than it should have poor range and power and also need to be reloaded very often.

If you pre-ordered it, you were sent a code by e-mail and you go to redeem code and download the beta demo..

Then..with like a week left, they decided to make it public so everyone can download it for free if they had gold..

They will most likely do this for modern warfare 2...

One thing they need to put on Modern Warfare 2 is a map that requires your to use your night vision goggles. Sure it helps on Wet Works, Vacant, etc. but to be forced to use it or you won't see anything would be pretty cool.

There are of course going to be new Perks and Weapon Attachments
If there wasn't, it's just be CoD4 with a different Campaign/Maps
