Help! COD4 or Halo3 ???

1. Halo 3 came out the same time as COD4, so that doesn't make any sense Piedude.

2.Unless you're talking about COD4, Halo 3 is not overrated. Everyone thinks COD4 is so great because any idiot can pick it up and play it and think they're good because it takes no skill.
Everyone at my school used to play Halo, so when I decided to add all the "best" people at my school (who had barely anything more than split-screen experience) realized that it takes skill, they quit playing. So they play Call of Duty now and think they're gods. It's funny how I beat them at that too because I didn't get my FPS experience from a game with some of the cheapest crap I've ever seen.

If you want to play a game this isn't nothing but BS and takes skill if you're not going to play Halo 3, play Halo 2 or at least Gears 1 which are both better than either of them.

I got Halo 3, it takes way more skill then COD4. It's so easy to kill on COD, i beat all my friends just for spraying weapons... Get Halo3. No need to flame jeez!

Sci-fi = Halo 3
Realistic/modern war = CoD4

On Pc: Call OF Duty 4.
On Xbox: Halo 3.

For those who have only played Call of Duty 4 and not Halo 3, please don't post here. I like both games equally tbh. It is true that in Call of Duty 4 it's way easier to get a kill then Halo 3. Bungie constantly updates Halo with Double XP weekends, new gamemodes, map packs, etc. Infinity Ward doesn't really update Call of Duty 4 much because they're very busy with their new game "Modern Warfare 2". So basically if you want a challenge and you're end to Sci-Fi get Halo 3. If you're end to modern warfare get Call of Duty 4. I say you should get both but probably buy Halo 3 then Call of Duty 4.

Halo 3 - You will be playing this for a damn while. With forge and tons of new maps being pumped out every day, you will never run out of games to play. MLG also uses H3 as it's flagship game, so if you want good competition, find some people to play MLG customs with.

CoD4 - Yeah, probably the best shooter around. One problem though, it gets boring VERY quickly. An example would be the weapons and perks. After a while you really don't have anymore interesting combinations to use. Also, with CoD MF2 coming out at the end of the year, there really is no need to go purchasing this one. In certain aspects the competition can also be extremely fierce in CoD4, so be on the lookout for "tryhards".


In the end, I'd say pick up Halo 3.

lol@halo3 being more skill-based than CoD4. CoD4 is tactical-based gameplay and Halo3 is run-and-gun style gameplay.

But I'd say don't get either of them. Halo3 fails and the next sequal to CoD is coming out soon anyways.

Well on Halo 3 its harder to kill an enemy than on CoD4. So if something is harder doesn't that mean it's more challenging? More skill is involved in Halo 3 than on CoD4. The only skill involved on CoD4 is the sniping. All the other guns are just spray guns. On CoD4 someone will stalk me around the corner still shooting. I am like "Wtf? spray" when I watch the kill cam. And some people complain it's so hard to kill an enemy on Halo 3. Well if you know what your doing than it shouldn't be that difficult. On CoD4 just get your smg and your ready.

Don't understand the question.
Which one should you buy? If thats the case then you should buy Halo3. I do like Cod4 better than halo, but there isn't going to be a new halo soon so get it.
PS. New Modern Wafrafe comes out in 9/09.
