View Full Version : Most Improved Pawn Tactics Player
Balddude

Well, I have seen many people come and go in this game. Most of the time, I notice a trend, when a person comes to the game, he is either good or not very good. It is rather rare to notice someone who improves over time and become an awesome player, if not one of the best.
Therefore, I dedicate this thread to all those people who took time to practice and get good at this game over a period of time. Most of the time, if one person cannot figure out a game, he would just quit. So...
I would have to vote for DeathLancer. Sure, he may not have the best attitude in the game, but this guy knows how to play this game. I think I played with him the first time he ever joined the game, and he didn't have a clue what he was doing. In fact, he stayed this way for quite a while. However, he started to get better and better over time, and now, he is great Recon and great Lancer. So yeah, in my opinion, he is the most improved player.
How about you guys? Love to see who you think about. :)

Theres this guy i know.
His name was Balddude, he was a total noob. Heavyed alot, and it was usless at it too. Asked to join SKZ, but at the time we had enough noobs, so he was delined. Superstiton invited him, i was lyk "Y4y m0ar n00bzzz". But he grew alot in skill, and was one of the 3 leaders in TFS. Now he kicks ***.

...A long lost player...went by the name of Shriker, or something along those lines...he wasn't well known, basically a ghost...I fought beside him...trained him as he would train me...he became an unstoppable recon...then one day just up and dissappeared...
...As for the current players...Baldy, you take the cake...

Lulz, the SKZ incident...Actually, you got it a bit wrong. At first Superstition rejected me, I don't blame him actually, I sucked that time. It was MrShot11 who invited me in the end. I am pretty sure Superstition didn't really approve of me when I first joined. But hey, I proved you guys wrong in the long run. ;)
By the way, nice to see you back CBM, missed you and your funny bone. :D

This thread is not for who are the good players, but is for those who have made remarkable improvements over their time at PT. Please read my long, boring threads next time before posting. Yeah...

Wow i remember the old days of skz, crazyness.
Anyways i have seen many players come and go to pawn tactics and i think that the most improved is MetalDragon. When he first joined All metal knew how to do was heavy, i took him under my wing and showed him how to knife as a recon and now he is a very good PT player who is really good at assult and medic as well.
Going by rank, I have to say, since the reset ILikeShooting has been able to stay at the top since the reset, Ils was only around the top 100, Before but now he has been able to stay up, Good job Ils

Uhm... i would like to recognize ShadowvoltZ0rdjgashljdsghasdjghadsjfhjdkashfljkdfh jkha aka shadowvotlz ^^
I remember him joining in july or august, and then he sorta looked up to me ^_^.
I remember having 2 students, both of whom surpassed me in rank and skill i guess: shadow and falcon.
His most valuable power was in assisting a flag capture. He taught me that recons might be counter-capping the flag.
I have to thank him for that :)

Back in EARLY beta while the original MVP was around SKZ was the most least skilled clan in the game nobody was good not even their leader *wink wink*.
But back to the point i think it is probably.. baldy by all the stories ive heard but i never really saw his improvement in pt because i left when MVP was rank #3 and about to be rank #2 and he wasnt in the game.

I'd say I've improved a lot.
I use to do nothing but heavy camp, back in early beta.
Now, I think I am fairly good with recon and assault.
I don't use heavy anymore.
If you actually saw me play in early early early beta you would know I was a super nab.

Wow are you guys not reading the thread?
Imo Baldy was pretty good back then, and wasnt suckish.
ILikeShooting and Supaman(Sk8urstreet) have imo..
Sk8urstreet was like one of the people that really wasnt good in beta, he had a below 1 kd and he was so easy to kill, but now hes a monster with the flag.

im sure everyone started out as a noob lol, i mean when i first played, i kept playing only with assault in dirty tactics....and i kept getting pissed at frekin invisible ppl (recons)...it was after a day b4 i knew how to change classes, run(spacebar), and melee (f).... i suked bad until i knew how to play....

Shadow was able to suprass me in Assualt skills, he learned very fast. Umm... United,WorldatWar(I taught him everything:)), Ilikeshooting, Raider713 he was good from beggining, Saivron... thats a pretty good list.
This may come as a surprise to you guys, but the most improved would have to be Parma. I remember thinking when someone invited him into DSX..."Who?". He had lag problems for awhile forcing him to quit for a couple of months, if I remember. He seemed to really own his class to perfection once beta hit a low note, and he continues to do now as the game is getting super popular. (plus hes a mod now, lol)

Oh yeah, I remember Parma in beta, he was more of a forum guy than a game guy, he got fresh a lot, but he lagged way worse back then.

Most improved is Jangalang because he/she/it is the best.
Most improved is Pawnmobilizer because it/she/he is the best.
Most improved is Calmador because he/it/she is the best.
They all started out as noobs...
I started the DL fad cuz he plays late at night (if you live in U.S.) and I used to play at night.
He rarely plays now D: sorta like Cbm.

Killer that sounds like my story. ;) 1.3kd though :(
I would nominate Jmoney. He wasn't very good when he started but now he is top 5 most skilled players on the game.

You don't improve by playing this game.
Well, when I was making this thread, I had had the same sentiment as you. I mean, this is an online game with a slight lag factor, shouldn't someone's skills determine on his computer/laptop?
Yes, this may be true, but there is a reason why this game was called Pawn TACTICS, I realized... Here are a few examples.
A Lancer taking on a Recon. If the Lancer is able to spot a Recon before getting knifed, or if the Recon misses, the Lancer still has a chance to emerge victorious in the encounter. However, the dodging and shooting techniques can only be picked up over time, and it is quite hard to keep consistent. ((Klonoa)
Or the factor of the Guard. When a grenade comes your way, what can you do? Should you use your shield to stop the grenade, or just run in front? (You would have to consider the factor of protecting your teammates, and which option would suit you best). However, some have mastered this technique with the utmost skill. ((Snipeme)
Or even the Heavy. When you are a Heavy, if other Recons you and you can't see them, they are bound to hide. What is the most effective way of eliminating them in hard to reach places without getting damaged by the Recon's MP5? (Take into account the Heavy's ridiculously slow speed.) (RenegateX AKA PMR is a great Heavy when it comes to survival)
So, yes, I do agree with you that an individual's skill in this game is greatly reliant on the user's computer and internet speed, even if the person with the best computer doesn't have the techniques to take on each class in the most effective way, they won't be a good player at all.

The question should be who is the best player in the game.
Like a few people have somewhat mentioned we all started out as noobs.
So whoever you choose to mention here would be the people you think are ultimately the best in the game...
Unless you are referring to after you joined so the people who were pros before you even played don't come into play.

Thanks! Lol I remember the days of old, when I sucked with all of the classes xD I only use recon, assault, and support, for the most part. I am starting to love teh lancer though. Hmmm, most improved player, there are most definitely a lot of them. Kiro98 is a little bit better, than when he started, I remember when Corygarrett started, he was a complete nab, now he is pretty good (extreme lagger though) The one thing that he hasn't improved on, is his attitude >.>

Well, when I meant "Most Improved Player", I am not talking about when they just started playing compared to now, or at least I place little emphasis on it, because I know that many people start out as complete "noobs" in the game.
I am mostly talking about those who managed to pick up the techniques such as Lancer movements, Clearance spraying and many more. So yeah...
(P.S. If this was for best player, I wouldn't have gotten many votes...)
