every time i try to get on lime wire
it says i have a bug and
I've tried downloading it again
but it still doesn't work
.any suggestion on a way to get
lime wire back up?

Also, I remember when I first downloaded Limewire it did that to me too. Just download another version (Like version 4.18.8)

People can report that and you can also get arrested and go to jail for a long amount of time. Viruses are given off to.

Ive had lime wire for a very long time. I haven't gotten a virus yet or had any problems with it. But some countries and places ban it so you should check up on the before you get into trouble.

Limewire is a shareware program, It is not illegitimate with SOME of the things it provides *cough*porn*cough* *cough*music*cough*. It doesn't give you viruses unless you download the obvious virus ones .e.g whenever i search anything it always comes up with the same video saying hot ***** at the top of my search, which means it's a virus, OR SOMEONE SPENT AGES TYPING IN TAGS!

if you have either Ad-Aware or Norton Internet Security, you can run it after downloading music, and they help prevent the complete download of bugs and viruses to your harddrive, keeping your computer save, but if im not misstaken they both have a subscription you have to pay, but they are worth it.

I'm going to have to disagree and agree with you on this one fuze. Music from limewire does give you virus's sorry to say.

Ummm, Norton is a worthless piece of crap. It is totally useless, and it shuts down when it encounters a virus. not to mention that it is a pain in the *** to remove. I can back up this statement too.

i have used norton for the best part of four years now, and encounterd a few virus's, some from limewire itself, and norton found the file the virus was located, and i deleted it, its not worthless, it help keep internet bugs from getting to your harddrive, you must think its worthless cause you never use it, i run norton + ad-aware after every download or internet useage, and i havent gotten any major virus's, small worms, but they were taken care of by disc clean up.

It depends on what kind of computer you use. My brother downloaded Limewire on his XP, and it ran with only a few problems. My friend used it on his XP, and it screwed his cmputer up big time, and he had to get everything erased off of it. My advice is simple...DO NOT USE LIMEWIRE! Just use youtube, burn it off of friends discs, or some safer way of doing it. It cannot hurt to be safe.

The site I gave, is the same exact thing but you can get the Youtube video itself not to mention you can get video's from more than just Youtube... Like myspace n that

Video + Audio = win.

Norton is annoying and almost impossible to remove. Even deleting the Program Files fail.

There are many ways to fix bugs, the most common is doing what you did, re-downloading it. Try getting all of your PC/MAC software updated to the current firmware, and make sure you have the latest shockwave/flash player. If you still have the bug, I suggest not using LimeWire, because you may have been infected with a "Conflicker C" file, which has been happening lately. As a last attempt, try deleting every single file from limewire, then re-downloading it.

You may be banned for basically creating a Warez thread.

Limewire doesn't cause virus if you are carefull with it. I have had it for a few years now and i am not yet to have a problem with it.

Yea norton is epec crap. I hate it but i still got 10 days of it free to go, then im gonna dtich it.

As far as Limewire goes. It uses ports commonly used by trojans and viruses which is why its get the criticism you all here.

when i had notron i never got viruses...and i could use whatever programs i wanted...

Okay. I've used Norton 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. All of those suck. They cant remove viruses. I'd know, i've tried. Trying to remove Norton... thats another story. First, you'd think that the uninstaller packaged with the program will work, right? WRONG! You reboot, and Norton decides that it doesnt want to leave, so it comes back. You try to delete its folder in Program Files, but it tells you Access denied. So, you go to symantec, and they give you a tool to acutally remove norton. If you have to get a seperate tool to remove a program, you dont want to install it.
I've used McAfee, its a little better. The best AV that i have come across so far, is Eset's NOD32. Read their whitepaper about Virus Detection. In number 2, is COMODO Internet Security. They have the best free firewall in the business.
