Well, as you all may have noticed by now, another deadly virus has once again been introduced to the world---Swine Flu.


According to the newspaper I have got today, they stated that the death toll is almost amounting to a 100 people. The flu is so far only found native in Mexico, but many other Northern American states have already found the infection within a couple of people.


Well, this is a small summary of what is happening in this new medical catastrophe. So now, I want to ask you this question. Do you think the Swine Flu will evolve to become a pandemic, or do you think it will swing by in a couple of weeks?

Yeah, it is getting worse. There has also been breaking news that the first case of Swine Flu has already been detected in Europe, England. This is starting to get very serious. But pandemic serious not sure yet.



FYI: For those who do not know what the real definition of a pandemic is, a pandemic means that that it is a new virus introduced to the human population, and has spread to all continents and countries over the world in a matter of weeks. A pandemic can cause billions, even trillions of dollars of losses in the economy and has the potential to kill millions of people.

O.K, all of a sudden the swine flu breaks loose, truth is, it's does not have all the genes from the swine flu, reason being is that it is now mixing with other genes, we may have seen this before. Think of it as a person putting on makeup, thats what the swine flu is doing now, which is giving the infected people, more viruses then it should, which is why, this flu is more fatal then ever. I'm sure there will be no pandemic truly because there can be a cure, all that needs to be done (which will take some time) is to trace the gene back to it's original steps.

Someone who actually has a more optimistic view of the whole situation. I would have never even thought of this...And considering the fact that many people are jobless, if a pandemic WAS to happen, the economic problem may see some positive happenings, even though if a pandemic is to happen, it is estimated to generate $3 trillion of losses.



P.S. The number of deaths has officially passed the 100 mark. Also, the disease has already spread to North America, Europe, and Asia (Hong Kong). Not sure about the other continents though...

But seriously, I don't think this will be a pandemic. All the stuff about this virus killing people was primarily in Mexico, and that could have been because of their poor health care. Nobody who got it in the U.S. has died yet and I think the same goes for most of the other countries with it. As long as people stay smart and seek help immediately after noticing symptoms instead of waiting to see if it makes them barf up their internal organs or something before they seek help, it'll be fine.

This amount of people probably moved to the US and Canada and that's when, The Swine Flu was known. FYI, the Swine Flu has been created many years ago.

I saw somewhere that it was the virus H1N1 (Not A(H1N1)) who started spreading in the 1920's, but then it mutated into the Spanish Flu, which killed 30 Million people.
