If i want to get a new computer can i connect the internet from this computer that im useing now and to the one i want to buy with out buying new modem cause i want a computer for my room but i dont wanna pay for internet so if there a way i can connect it so its on both?

And if you do how many ports?

If you have more than 2 computers in your house already
that run off of one modem you will need 3 ports. If you meet
the requirements you should be able to setup your computer
to that wireless internet and it should work, your pc will find
the internet o_o

I got 1 Bigpond modem 1 port not wireless. I also have a wireless G plus Mimo router with 4 ports. I used tht for my laptop when i had it but i sold that so the router is just siting here.

If that is the case, then yes, you can connect from your old computer's internet to the new one.

Most wireless modems have about 3 ports if you're only using one or two of them you can use the third one as the one you connect to the computer in your room,
just make sure you disconnected your laptop from the modem so its not still using a port.
