View Full Version : Is your aim off?
You can't say no, 'cause this screenie proves that everyones aim is off. It might not be by much, but it's enough to miss a head shot here and there. Your aim is just above the mark in the center of your aimer. That would be the tip of your mouse pointer as well. So much win right here :D

All guns have recoil. [liek shoots off centre]

It could be either recoil, or aim is actually off center!
The protogun is a recoiless gun, so it could be off center aiming!

Or you moved teh mouse on the last second down xD.
Anyways recoil, whiteout it pawn would be less fun.

Nope, i play PT so it doesnt matter.
But when i play with the Heavy its slighty off.
Lol, the aimer is actually off center.
It could be to simulate recoil, but it's still off center.
And no I didn't move my mouse, lol.

Well no biggy, if your skilled enough. You will and should still be able to pull off a head shot.

Haha, see, now that's what I'm getting at. Yes, any skilled player and/or a player whom has been here long enough will have copped with this little "recoil" as you call it. But, when new players join, do you think they will be used to their aim being off slightly? Probably not. Then, this is where the flaming comes in "I got your head!!!" Then they leave. Lol.

Yea, by that much, you would almost be aiming off of their head anyways to miss
Plus the hitbox(assuming we use hitboxes) of the model is pretty big anyways, even on the tip of their head you would still hit them
Also he has huge veins sticking out of his arm lol

are you trying to use this as an excuse to why your "headshots" miss? you're zoomed in 500% and it's still barely a difference.
new players won't hit headshots that often for this to be a big deal. if you're good, you'll able to get headshots anyways.

A good player aims in the right spot that even with the bullet going higher than your pointer you still get hs but it doesnt work that way with proto.

So, you're one of those guys that tries to flame everyone for anything ey.
No matter, I need no excuse to show my skill. I'm simply pointing out, that this, is in fact off.
And obviously if you are good you wont miss a head shot, wanna know why? Because you have adapted to the fact that it is off the slightest bit. You may not know it, but you are adjusting to it once you start playing.
Flippysknife: If it was un-noticeable, I would not have seen it.
StompOutBoy911: Lol, this is for every gun. It's not the gun, it's the actual aimer is off from the point of your mouse.
numba: You've got the idea :D!

well proto and pistol are the only real weapons that do this.
well proto and pistol are the only real weapons that do this.
No no, Pistol actually shoots in different directions. Along with the fact that the pointer is off...omg, pistol is off that much more due to the pointer and its recoil :D
NO ONE LIKES A SMART BUM NEAR!
I always hate using the pistol. Try doing a zoom shot with a pistol!!!!!

Well I have seen this a long time ago.
It's just like in real life, If you shoot with a gun, As an newbie, It shoots a little off from target. And so pretend the person moving around is a newbie, Even though you could be eleet.

Did you know that, after you shoot, the protogun's laser still remains in the air for a while? So if you just move the mouse a little bit, it will appear as if the protogun's aim is off.

It should also be noted that graphics do not always dictate what is going on in the programming. I gun may or may not be hitting regardless of what the graphics say.
