View Full Version : IDEA Pyromaniac class

I know this is a heck of a stretch but here it is:

1.) character stats
Armor: medium
Speed: 50
Special: resistant to explosives and other pyromaniacs
Bullets: expl

2.)Weapons
A.) Flamethrower
.5 damage/shot
1ms cooldown

B.) Incendiary grenades
same concept as flamethrower to all in the area
lasts 5 seconds
special: splash 250

C.) Torch
no damage
no cooldown
special: emits a warm aura in front of character, healing allies slightly and damaging enemies over time (damage is considered armor piercing). Enemies cannot be killed by torch

D.) hot cowprod
no damage
no cooldown
special: Severely damages enemies over time and reduces the prodded enemy's armor for a period of time. This damage can kill and is considered armor piercing.

I've thought it would be cool to have a class like this.
But I think you might be making it to complicated.
Flamethrower should do a goodly amount of damage(and the DOT damage like you suggested) but should have almost no range.
The Grenade should do bout quarter of the damage of the frag grenades and have the DOT damage.
The torch should just heal your allies and VERY slowly heal you and then do no damage to the enemy.
As much as the name cowprod sounds funny I like the weapon.
It might sound like I'm taking your idea from you, but I like the idea and I think with some adjustments it could be excepted.

You haven't stolen my idea from me and actually modified it really well. I am impressed at your changes. Thanks for helping me with this class.

Here are other suggestions I though of but they are either overpowered or already resembled in some way:

Faster fire rate for heavy, rename gun to minigun

Rocket launcher class

Spec Ops class (basically recon)
