OK, I know the guard used to be a very useless class, and now it's pretty good, but now I think it's a bit over powered now. Say you're a support/lancer/guard/heavy, and you throw some nades at an incoming guard. The nades may hit their target, but sometimes, good guards move out of the way. Anyway, I think the explosive damage for heavy armor should be increased to what it was, if not slightly higher. Keep the melee damage reduction though, that's what really makes the guard a good class.
Also, I've noticed that the Uzi/Mac11 runs out of ammo extremely fast now that you usually live a lot longer as a guard. Maybe buff the ammo up to 250-300.

over powerd yes needs to be a 1 hit flag kill and yes it needs more ammo

I think the only problem is; melee attacks should do a lot more damage to them. Guards are slow with shield, so it's easier to run up on them, meaning they need to be more effected by melee attacks.

I agree, but since I never use Guard, this would affect me a bit, because it would be tougher to kill them in a way.

Eh. Grenades are fine. Before, guards were more weak against grenades than any other class. 1 nade would take about half their health even with the shield up and 1 or 2 spaces away.
And they are still pretty weak against explosives. They're too slow to get away from a well aimed grenade, and the way that their long survival causes them to run out of ammo is another weakness that evens the playing field.

We were a little concerned at first with what you are saying when we were first making the changes in the last update. However, we feel that even though the Guardian class is unusually hard to kill, an enemy Guardian can't kill very fast in any situation. Personally I've found that if you use the level properly you can flank and weaken an enemy Guardian. Worst comes to worst you can just run away. It's not like they can catch you.
Oh and the 1-hit flag kills will be restored for next update betsy.

I agree with what blank said.
It is easy to outflank the guard, additionally there is always assault if there is a major guard problem in a game.

I find it stupid that a weapon that used to kill in one hit now kills Heavies in six hits, while the MP% kills with about ten bullets, which used to take forever to kill them.
It also doesn't make sense how Heavies can survive up to six hits, while Assaults die in one hit.

These are games not real life, and who knows maybe in some world, assaults just are that much weaker to a knife than a heavy.
Anyway the way I beat them is don't let them knife you at all. Or as recon just kill heavy's with gun and assaults with knife.
