Rank Doesn't Determine Skill

Just putting that out. Rank is not equal to 100% skill. Many people don't understand that.

Rank is something more like how much you play added to what weapons you use.

What do you thing rank/skill is?

i agree to this post completely cause i dont play much but i kick major arse. Speaking of rank though, im pissed, i was 35th yesterday and i got on today and im like 220th or somthing. Maintaining rank is tough, especially with the server move, it's really hard with all the new PT players. Ive played since the beta when they still had scouts

Generally, the people with good ranks are either really good or always use heavy. However, all of these high ranked people seriously play this game a lot. If you were to look at all of the good player's ranks, the higher ones simply play more.

Yeah, for noobs it's about rank. For most people, it should be about getting to 100k to make a clan.

word, sair speaks the truth. i mean u have to at least kno how to play the game to be the top 25 but over time u can pick up on whos good and not so u can just spot names. simple.

if this helps, i was rank 85 at the time (45 at reset) and i 1v1ed the rank 2 player. i won 5-0. nuff said

If you are in top 25 10 weeks after reset THATS Skill.
And if u got Grey star 1 day after reset,
thats not skill, thats hacking!

While its true that rank does not correspond to skill, most of the best players will be near the top of the list.

You can get a sense of a players skill from score and kd but the only way to find true skill is in the game.
