A Change of Scenary

Hello everyone. I know it's been a while since our last activity, but this is a big one. I'm going to take time in this post to go over all the changes that have taken place today.

So as you've probably already noticed, the site looks and navigates differently than before. We have done this to change the style of PawnGame.com from a 1 game site to a multiplayer gaming portal featuring games made exclusively by us. Pawn Tactics being our 2nd title, but I will talk more on that later in the post. Here are a list of changes made to the site:

-Removed the Game Guides section (Some game guides may still exist in game sub-directories) Ex. http://www.pawngame.com/pawn/ranklist.php
-Removed the play game button. Instead pressing "Games" will take you to a list of our games.
-Replaced the game guides side panel on the left with a quick links panel for easier navigation.
-Pawn (along with PT) will now open in separate windows to be more compatible with users with lower resolutions.
-A public irc applet is now available as well at http://www.pawngame.com/irc.
-The forum has been re-arranged to better suit the new site.
-Rank signatures can still be used, but the address has been changed to http://sfs.crazymonkeygames.com:8083/pawn/getrank.py?n=NAME for retrieving stats. All signature makers must update their code.

Ok so there hasn't been many to the game of Pawn itself, but we have done significant work to the way Pawn works to try and cut down on the large amounts of lag we have been seeing. Some Pawn commands have been changed as well. For example /report no longer works.

I'm sure a lot of you haven't even heard of our second project Pawn Tactics (PT for short), but it has been available for play at our other site for almost a year. Now we are bringing it to you, but don't be worried about PT replacing Pawn. Pawn will still continue to run same as before. For new users on PT you can use your forum/pawn gamer name and log in without the need for another registration. Pawn, PT and the forums all share the same logins. To the previous PT community: Map editors, guides and essential posts will be transferred over here from www.pawnstudios.com shortly, and play at www.pawnstudios.com will be discontinued after that.

Both Pawn and Pawn Tactic's ranks and stats have been reset so its time to start anew and kick some butt!

For the last item I would like to bring attention to a new public chat available to all users on PawnGame. For all you irc experts out there just point your favorite irc client to irc.pawngame.com. If you have never heard of irc then just go to http://www.pawngame.com/irc/ where a web applet has been prepared along with some basic instructions. Hope to see you all on there soon!

Still, I'm done with in game games, that was the last straw for me.

I worked since early 07 for my blue ribbon, and was close to my goal of Tri-Star.

This is an excellent update. Basiclly refreshing the system new year and start all over. I think people are adjusting well to the changes since we already have the number one elite and everything. Good jump with bringing PT on the same website as pawn so that way PT can get more renown towards the website. I love this place Its So FREAKIN AWESOME. Anyway nice job. all u can do is complain that the new update sucks because ur rank reset, when if they left it alone eventualy people would start complaining that pawngame.com was geting old and boring.

so what if your rank was reset.this gives newer players a chance to rank up without the CONSTANT flaming that they suk and theyr noobs scence the good players will be now the same rank. and if your mad cuz u think that "noobs" will be top ten now, you should shut up and start ranking up befor they do. if they are realy "noobs" like u say, and you are "better", then u should be able to rank faster then them.


so think of this as a test to see if u are still "good enough" to be top ten or eliet or w/e your rank was.

Im not complaining about the loss of rank i was angry about the loss of maps, but i checked today and my maps were all there so im not angry anymore. i agree that it does lower the flaming now that we all have low ranks again, it just gives us a reason to play more again and tests us of our abilities to get ranks.

I was having that problem to, but amber2008 told me the perfect solution. u should see a link just below the blue bar at the top, copy and paste it into a new tab, and bob's ur uncle, its big again.
