View Full Version : Is there anything that can give the impression of hacking? Mistakenly?

Need some help. I've been playing pawn on and off for over a year now and this must be the first time this has ever happened.

Started the other day when I came in for a quick game as a guest. About 3 minutes in, a mod who happened to be in-game whacked me with the ban-hammer, apparently for hacking. Turned out I seemed to be killing my own teammates on her screen. I put it down to bad timing, extreme lag and glitches, spoke to another mod and got it resolved.

Then this morning when I logged on, I entered a game and after a few minutes suddenly received a message that there was no team spawn point. I re-loaded and re-entered (inadverdently switching teams in the process). Then this started happening.

No one seems to be able to be able to damage me apart from Nikas. Understandably, I guess, everyone's shouting 'HACKER'.


Now; what the bloody hell?!? This is probably said several thousand times a day but I was NOT hacking. What the heck is going on and is there a technical fix for this? Or SOMETHING?

This has happened to me before. Where only like two people can kill you?
I think it was a glitch. You see when i logged on i could not die. Only kill. But when i refreshed the page and signed back in i was okay. Did it work fine after that?
I recommend you refresh the page when that happens or you will be acused of hacking.

Many thanks for the reply, and yeah. Seems to be working ok now.

I'm more worried that it had happened twice in less than 24 hours; coincidence, or is there something I can do to prevent this happening?

Perhaps go on to options and click Graphics Low. And hide enemy bullets. That may reduce lag. Just refresh the page and it should be all working again. Sometimes glitches occur more than once at times.

How the hell can you play with 230ish ms? You most likely wouldn't have this problem if your ms was lower.

On topic: I've seen this an it's happen to me. It comes from the Christmas update with the gun an all that. If it happens again just leave an refresh like toy said an you should be fine. Get that MS down.

If it happens in every game thats kinda bad, but if it happens again just tell the people whats going on, and leave the room. So no one calls you hacker.

This might well be the case. How might one go about decreasing their MS value? Its rare that I'll play a game at anything less than about 185.

Living in the UK for close to a decade does that. :]

Never happened before. First time was yesterday evening.

If you do a maze jump in a ladder map, people that don't know about mazing could think you are hacking.

Frist of all only a few mods actualy take action againts Guest hackers.So I think it was Chickletman.

You weren't hacking, you were just in a glitch.He should really paymore attenchin to the game insteed of just kicking people with out All of the facts.

Any mod can take action all they have to do is ban their ip address
