Alright, so today, I walked into science and saw dry ice on the tables and I'm like, "Finaly, a fun activity".
I thought wrong.

We put the dry ice in test tubes and put stoppers on.
The carbon dixiode builds up inside the test tube and blows the stopper off.
Well, apparently a girl who is sensative to getting scared had no clue.
She was sitting at the table behind me, and hand the test tube in her hand with the dry ice and stopper on.
After about 5 seconds, the stopper explodes off the test tube, the girl gets scared, glass shatters everywhere, and I find a huge piece of glass lodged in the back of my arm.
At first, I thought it was my friend with a pencil or somethin' because it didn't hurt that bad at first.
But my friend turns around and say's "Matteo, your bleeding."
I look at my arm and blood is dripping and all over the place.
I had to miss the rest of the day of school, but the fun classes were next.

So yeah, my arm is bandaged up in like 3 layers and I officialy hate dry ice.

Geez, sucks for you. Are you gonna miss school for another day, or are you gonna go back?

I have had so many fun experiences with Dry ice. We use it a lot in 7th grade. I grabbed it with my bear hand once and it burned like hell. D: Anyway, we put it in a bottle, closed the cap and put it in a plastic garbage can which was filled with water and it blew so far. Its fun if you use it right. Also illegal if your not over 18 or if someone over 18 is not watching you.

Killah your story made me lol!

What grade are you in experimenting with dry ice?

Probably gonna stay home, not having another incident.

lol that sucks.... hope you get better....

We had a similar thing happen near our area.... there was this chemical explosion in this lab at this nearby school.... it severly burned like 2 or 3 students....

Eh, apparently not, but I think a total of 25+ glass objects were broken through-out 4 classes, and I was the only one to get hurt.

They need to stop with these dry ice experiments until high school at least.
Too many people get hurt.
I hope you feel better soon Killah.

It also doesn't help that dry ice is -109.5 degrees. How much glass exactly?

Is she cute? If she is, you can play out like it didn't hurt that much and kid with her a bit and jokingly be like "It didn't hurt because I was too distracted looking at you gorgeous" but obviously make sure she knows your kidding and if she doesn't like you saying that play it off like she's taking a little joke too seriously or if she gets angry be like "Hah gorgeous AND feisty" but then leave her alone. Girls love it when you compliment them if you do it jokingly, in a way that doesn't really seem like you are hitting on them. If she isn't cute, get some lunch money from her or something.

You're still too weak to battle dry ice!

Dude, that sucks. Feel bettar!

Btw - I'm in 7th grade, and the only experiment I did was with a flame thingy and a tube with water or something like that, and I missed it because I had to go to the nurse because of a nosebleed from basketball. -_-
