Clan and Social Group

I am wondering if the Social Group is the same thing as a clan?

It could be if you don't want a clan site but make a social group for your clan.

A clan usualy has a clan site, and a Social Group is a part of that site.

They are different.
A clan is like a big group of members who are a team and will fight other clans in clan wars to become the better clan. These also include sites.

The Social Groups however, are just little chat groups on the forums where you can talk with other members.

Technically no, But I am sure if you didn't know how to run a site you could just run a social group.
