All of you know about that huge "stimulus bill" that Obama made, right? The one that included money to save some breed of mouse in the San Francisco Bay, build a huge and useless railroad from Las Vegas to some other major city, and help convicted criminals make bail, and nearly doubled the national deficit.
Well I'm sarcasticlly pleased to tell you that teh prez has just released another bill, this one being more than 3 times as expensive as the last one he made. About $3.55 trillion dollars to be exact. Yes, 3 and a half TRILLION dollars, not BILLION, TRILLION.
I'd like to outline some facts about the first stimulus bill that Obama passed:
-Although the news media reported his first plan to be over $700 billion dollars, that's not exactly how much it will cost. You see, whenever the government reports how much a bill will cost they tell you the absolute minimum that it could possibly cost. Not what it actually will end up being. So his first plan will likely end up being over 1 trillion dollars.
-It costs more than the U.S. paid for the entire Vietnam war.
-Its more than the U.S. paid for the entire World War 1.
-Its more than the U.S. paid for the entire World War 2.
-Its more than the U.S. has paid so far for the war in Iraq.
-It nearly doubled the national deficit.
-It included money to help save some sort of species of mouse in the San Francisco Bay.
-It included money to build a train railway from Las Vegas to another big city. This was just to make a few jobs for builders, the actual complete railway is going to end up being of little or no use.
