I think that is basically asking for spam. Especially with people wanting their applications answered; it's good in concept, but I don't think it could function in practice.

Edit, I think that could work very well though if it was only allowed to usergroup members :)

I say yes. There are times it would be nice to be able to see which mods are online. I also like hurri's suggestion. Time since last action would be great as well. That way we could tell if they are likely to be afk.

Well, there's usually mods in the forums, so we could just open a new window, log in the forums and PM a mod.

They would then go onto the forums and spam pm the mod knowing that they are online but cause they wont answer them in chat so they flood their message box

we are talking about people asking to rank, I wouldn't give them that much credit in knowing what a mod can and can't read :rolleyes:

There would be no reason to have the ninja feature with this, and if ninja was taken off, then there would be no reason to have this. So I think we're fine without it. If you want to report a hacker, use the forums and send a screenie.

I dont really see how this would be usefull, if you wanted to talk to them just whisp yourself and all mods can hear you...thats what I do at least
