What type of music do you guys prefer? That that is popular (mainstream) or those who are underground and not known.

I'll be honest, I mainly listen to mainstream stuff. However, I can appreciate good music, whether or not it comes from a "well-known" source.

I tend to like underground bands better, but I like some mainstream bands too. It really just depends on what I find. I don't tend to listen to mainstream bands much, so that's why.

Music is music, IDC if its mainstream or underground, of course underground you usually don't hear about. But how would you define 'underground' bands?

Underground. today's american public is musically retarded to put rap n "pop" into mainstream.

Today's music suck. Today's bands are only famous for one single and then they would be forgotten. Theirs nothing special in music now, only gimicks. What ever happen to just going on stage and just play music, not mindless noise. What ever happen to the person who has their own mind instead of the person who doesn't and just copies off other people.

Mainstream sucks.
Underground sucks.

I usually listen to the radio when on the computer playing or what ever. I guess that would be main stream. But i suppose if there was a good underground then ya I'd listen to them.

mainstream is full of crap now ...theres no real substance in music any more...underground is alive and i listen to it as much as possible after listening stuff like "loli pop" or anything by soulja boy... >.> underground i think is for ppl who r more independent and dont follow the crowd like sheep.. sometimes mainstream happens to come out wit something decent but highly unlikely.. Long Live teh Underground :D
