This thread is for people who play guitar, any kind of guitar! Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar or Acoustic Guitar!

Tell us about your guitar skills.
Say when you started playing.
Tell us the gear you have, and gear you want to have.
You can also tell us your influences or even some songs you play.
Post a video, a picture of yourself with your guitar, well, anything that is related to you and your guitar!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll start. I would rate myself as a intermediate guitar player. I play a lot of Metallica and Iron Maiden. I also play a lot of Iced Earth, but Jon's 16th notes triplets are kinda hard.
I had my first guitar on Christmas '07.
My gear:
- Jackson RX10D Rhoads Electric guitar.
- Peavey Raptor Plus EXP electric guitar. Color: Sunburst.
- Peavey Rage 158 Amplifier.
- .73 mm picks.
Gear I want: Acoustic guitar.
Not if you're Rob Scallon or Petteri Sariola or Andy McKee.
I got an acoustic/electric off eBay for ~$50.
I have a washburn guitar and line 6 amp.
I always rate myself intermediate, but everyone around me is like "Amazing!" and I've been at a guitar store just playing guitars and people have been like "Woah dude." I've had a few people tell me I need to 'battle' this guy who's like 30 and teaches guitar and I'm always just like "Hell no!"
Haha, its amazing how easily you can impress people by throwing in some taps and sweeps in a solo.
That's a dumb statement. Acoustic does not "Fail". It's a different style of guitar. Normally people go from acoustic>electric or just stay acoustic. I think acoustic sounds very nice.
My Gear:
Fender Squier Stratocaster (rofl)
G-DEC Junior
Skill rating... hmm about... intermediate.
I have a Squier Strat, a Peavey Rage 258, and an old J Reynolds acoustic that was in my mom's closet.
Gear I want? I want to get an Ibanez RG sometime. I love the Strat because it is easy to play, versatile (can play from jazz to rock to *some* metal), and all around just very likeable. My only complaint is that the volume knob is placed so inconveniently. Still, since metal is what I want to pursue, I want to get a guitar more suited for it.
I'd say I'm intermediate as well.
