What is Pawn Game all about to you? When I first started, I thought there wasn't much skill involved, until I played good players and realized I couldn't beat them and that the game wasn't all about luck. I remember reading somewhere that the name of the game was chosen because the players are like pawns in a game of chess. I thought about that further, and realized that maybe they meant you have to play it like chess, with strategy. Most of you have probably noticed that you have to trap your opponent by setting him up for a headshot (if you are a good player versus another good player) or by putting him in a situation where he is screwed and has to die. This doesn't apply so much to newbs, but it's kind of cool how much it actually is like chess, in the way you always have to out-strategize your opponent. What do you guys think about the meaning of the name Pawn?

I really didn't care much for my actions when I started playing this game. Like it didn't matter to me if I got a headshot, or just a normal kill. As I progressed, I became more aware of how to kill my enemies.

Then the game itself became boring, and I haven't played up to date.

By the way, here's how the name "Pawn" originated.

"Pawn has been a major project of ours ever since its conception in December of 2005. Before Pawn, JP and I had dabbled in other various projects, but nothing anywhere near as big as Pawn. The original idea of Pawn was thought up by JP as a single-player stealth shooter game. The title "Pawn" actually came from the original storyline. The main character was supposed to be a 'Pawn' in a large conspiracy which the player would uncover as the game progressed - hence the name. We decided to stick with the title and move the game in a new direction. We set out to make the game you now see before you."

When I first started I didnt know what the hell was going on. Then I figured out that the game itself required skill and strategy. I had to create another account(this), because my KD was horrible and people wouldnt stop calling me out for 1 on 1s, lol.
