I have noticed that the activity rate has gone way down. More and more people are quiting and more and more noobs are coming in, but however we don't really welcome the noobs like we say we do in introductions. In beta and 07 everyone welcomed eachother. People didn't try to act all hard and were mean to every noob.
The other day I was saying hi and talking with noobs and I forgot who it was but they asked me "why are you talking and being nice to noobs"?
I was like "because they are human being and are cool to talk to". We treat noobs like they are nothing.
We complain that pawn activity level is going and yet we don't welcome noone and make them feel like this is a nice, fun and friendly community. Shoot RS community is better than this.
Whenever you say something in front of people that are going for mod or something like people in irc they always have something bad to say hardly anything good unless they know you or you are like brothers or something like that with the mods.
Well how are you suppossed to get to know them if you are so mean and never have anything nice to say?
I think we should welcome others and show them we have a good community so they will stay with pawn for a while. We never show them how fun we all can be.
All I'm saying is that we need to make others feel welcome and make our community a lot more fun and friendly.
Our community is horrible right now. And the mods sometimes let the power take over them then they think they are better than everyone else.
LETS SHOW THEM WE HAVE AN AWESOME COMMUNITY!

EDIT: Well thanks to galm and his post he did say that everyone says forums are for mature people, but yet people act like they are lil kids sometimes and just spam and everything. When a noob comes on the forums noone accepts him. I know I wasn't accepted at first. You shouldn't have to earn to be welcomed. I think everyone should welcome everyone on games and the forums and try to make friends. We all post in introductions and say welcome but we never need it, I do but most don't, they just do it for a quick free post. We say welcome and never talk to them or anything and if most do they say wtf do you want noob or something like that. I think whoever you say welcome to you should be their friend and actually talk to them again and they will grow with the GOOD community and see how great it is and stay and be active.
I think we should also advertise pawn to the people will play games with like on wc or WoW or COD or something like that and grab more friends in here that would be active and like to play games.

It makes sence.
But most of the noobs on here aren't actually noobs because they've been on the game, but not the Forums..

I think the real problem is newbies not coming on the Forums..
But people are saying "Forumz R Fer Mature kool people plox"

Meh.
I will ALWAYS post from now on, in the intro section.

Let's see if there's a difference.

This deserves a sticky?
You have a good point, FrozenThrone, no one really introduces anyone nicely anymore.

And the inactivity is like a chain-reaction. When one quits twenty more people are too.

I agree with everything except for the people quitting.

Take me for example.
I talked to Frozen about me quitting. I guess I was just confused between the definition of "quitting" and "giving up". I honestly think that we are giving up on PG, and not quitting.

I have also noticed the increased dive in the quality forum-goers over the months. I do not post, but I do peep my head in every now and then. It's quite sad actually. Seeing your good memories and e-friends leak away.

O_O

Gatling exists?

Well people are just getting tired of it. All the people leaving that are veterans have been here too long, and some for almost 3 years.

The intro section used to be as bad as screenshots for spamming/trolling. Having 50 people go down the list and say "hi" to everyone is rediculous. I only post in the threads of people I know and will continue to do so.

As for the part about people not being nice to "noobs." I'm polite to them, I say hi(when not afk) and answer their questions. However, I often have 10 people in chat spamming my name and some people are like "omg he never talks." I do, just I can't keep up or I am afk.

I've seen many Veterans leave due to the Pawn Community. It's sad to see them all go. I agree with you Frozen.

I shall do my best to reverse the trend. As in, I'll post here more than once a month.

Well, everyone is getting older. I suggest you should too.

Pawn game isn't interesting anymore. That cool excitement to come online is gone, and left for the new era of players.

Lets hope Pawn's future will come slowly.

If that's the case, the people that used to be immature should have matured a bit by now. So it wouldn't be a problem.

Well I am only 14. I been with pawn since Nov. 06 and I still think it is a lot of fun. I still got many years ahead of me. I don't know if I will ever quit pawn, I might not come on as much in like 4 years but I will still be on.
And n3rd I'm not I am just saying we all should make pawn greater and a way better community...

Your asking people to welcome noobs?

Fat chance.

No I am asking others to me more kind to noobs and make them feel welcomed and get others from other games. We don't ever give the noobs a chance here, they are no better than us. We always complain how our community is so small and yet we don't do anything about it. Noobs come and go but never stay.

Lol. A mod troll?

I have half quit. So I mostly come on the forums instead of the game.
And I am not nice to the noobs because they go "****WTF ZOMG U ***" And stuff like that. But i don't mind welcoming more mature noobs.

Mature noobs are fine, the ones I hate are the ones who I tell I got mod by slaying the dragon and they believe me.

Yeah so the immature ones...I am sure you weren't the brightest when you first joined -_-
Also I noticed when you register on the game there is no place where they can take any glamps at rules unless they come to the forums, but most don't do so. So really they don't know the rules at all...And yes some do spam the intro section with hi's but what I am saying is they don't talk to that person again....

WOW your the type of person we don't need, I say you GTFO.

I find that noobs don't understand sarcasm, over the internet I wonder why? But yeah if you tell them you need to do a flip to rank, they would prolly do. If you tell them they need to let me rank off of them to rank, they would prolly do it. I have found that the younger the user the more gullible the user, so if your trying a help a 11 year old that knows nothing about computers your pretty much wasting your time cuz they will not get it.
