You guys do not know the story...

"After leaving a live event in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday evening, Chris Jericho's car was attacked by a mob when he was stopped at a stop sign. Unable to proceed, Chris Jericho exited his car to ask the crowd to clear a path so he could continue through the intersection. A man and a woman physically and verbally assaulted Mr. Jericho. Arena and WWE security arrived to establish enough order to allow Mr. Jericho to re-enter his vehicle and depart. The local police arrived minutes later. Mr. Jericho was unharmed in the incident. The WWE is working with local authorities who are investigating the incident to identify the man and woman who fled the scene."

TMZ.com has picked up the Chris Jericho incident story:

It all went down after a WWE event at the Save-On Food Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC -- an angry crowd began heckling Chris Jericho as he was getting into his car. But when Jericho stared down a female fan, that's when things got violent...

In the video, it appears she spit on the wrestler -- Jericho flipped out and the woman was knocked to the ground. At that point, one of the dudes in the crowd rushes in to attack Chris.

Jericho managed to shove that guy away -- and others who got close. During the melee, Chris can be heard screaming at security to "do your f---ing job." Finally, security tackled one of the men to the ground and Chris was able to get in his ride and take off.

Cops in Victoria -- who are currently investigating the incident -- called it a "minor event."

EDIT: Also this is unfortunately normal for the city of Victoria...

Victoria has always had a bad string of luck regarding incidents with wrestlers. In 2005 a fan jumped the rail and tried to attack triple H after the main event, and in 2007 a couple fans nearly got into a fistfight with Jimmy Korderas and Tony Chimmel at ringside. WWE usually comes here every 2 years to this town, but I'm guessing this incident will get reported to WWE HQ and subsequently the wait will be even longer. It is quite sad and disheartening to see fans go to such lengths to ---- off the wrestlers outside of the ring. During the show, sure that's what you get for paying but not as they're trying to catch a flight to the next city. The event was overall very entertaining but unfortunately this incident caused it to end on a sour note on a personal level.

He didn't punch a fan for no reason, Chris Jericho is not like that and if you wanna call him names without knowing the details you're an assclown.

Y2J forever man.

Using my word assclown now are you?

Besides that. .
I completely agree. He did nothing wrong. The fans just got 'all up in his space' and he was just trying to get them off.

By using violence??? nuh-uh, i don't believe you really get this:

It's true someone verbally assulted Jericho...
But he physically attacked the man who did and a woman who allegedly spit on him...
Jericho used violence to solve the problems, ok? That's all U need 2 know

<.< Rofl if Jericho got sued couldn't he claim he felt his life was in danger when they began to slander him and run towards his car? Stopping him from progressing on his travels and also trying to get through the security. There for self-defence.

But that women pushed through the security guards to get at him. I don't believe striking a woman is right. But if someone is pushing through your security guards to get at you and seems to hate you. You would punch them right? After all you have no idea if she could be concealing a weapon. I doubt she was searched after on?

there's definitely a 50/50 thing here, isn't there?
