There are, quite literally, dozens of programming languages. If you don't know a specific one that you would like to learn, perhaps you could tell us what it is you'd like to do with it and that might help us in picking a specific one.

HTML is ridiculously basic.

And I am nowhere near the 'best mIRC coder.' HonorP00ner, Neo1211, and Firstmate all demolish me when it comes to scripting.

For making JavaScripts and HTML, I just use Notepad to code in.
There's utilities out there to aid you (eg: Dream Weaver), but they aren't necessary.

The 'things' that ElJohno has made are not in Java, it's javascript. Two totally different things. If you want to learn javascript, you're going to need to learn HTML as well, and maybe XHTML if you want.

W3Schools is a great website for learning the various web development languages and tools.

I'd recommend becoming pretty proficient in HTML before moving onto Javascript.

Np++ is the best, unless you want an entire IDE, which will inform you of errors, etc, but can be a massive hassle to set up sometimes, or large in size.

I use notepad++ for everything except Java.
For Java, I use the NetBeans IDE. While resource consuming, it's definitely worth it.

I know: Flash AS2, PHP, Java, mIRC, MySQL, some batch, very little VB.

That's about it. I wish I knew more, but I just don't ;)

i use dreamweaver CS4 FT get that for HTML as you can code urself or DW does it 4 u :D

you can get it like i got u PS and FW totaly free :D

The chances of you knowing C++ is impossible, even I don't know C++ and I can flatout say i'm a better coder then you, I can tell by your web design skills, and the fact your scripting knowledge is very limited.

just cos you cant do it dosent mean other people cant ... unless you folow them around 24/7 you dont know if he can or not

Dayo, I know i'm a better scripter then him by his web design. Do you really think a C++ user will fear PhP boards? I doubt it.
