I find them really boring. I'm sure they were totally influential, but I find them fairly bland and generic.

Like, they aren't BAD, but I can just find better things to listen to.

I happen to enjoy The Beatles. I just finished reading their biography, which I highly suggest you do. You will learn that The Beatles weren't the amazing pop god's and perfect lifers that everyone thinks. They had a depressing and sad life, more or less. But their music is indeed pleasurable, and they certified an indelible mark in music history.
